Reminder that Blais has a contract with the Abbotsford Canucks and was on a PTO with Vancouver. So the Canucks can still work with this player and he is a part of the org still

  2. I wonder if this means Raty has made it… or likely to make it.

He was a dark horse for me heading into camp/pre-season but the little bit I saw he did look a step behind.

Might be a scenario where they send him to Abbotsford, and potentially sign him later to an NHL contract if he earns a shot.

Not too surprised. He seems to have lost a step and didn’t really bring much to the games he was in. Probably a good veteran for Abby!

he didn’t look out of place nor did he stand out

I thought he’d be alright as a press box/14F and he is a great hitter but I agree that young players have earned a spot ahead of him, wouldn’t want to discourage Raty by having Blais make the time and competition for spots is high!

I honestly didn’t hear or see much from him. A shame. See you in the A.

Good vet for Abby but IMO he didn’t do enough to earn a spot on the main roster.

Good news is that because he has an AHL deal if he does do well and they need him later on they can always sign him later since he’s sticking with the org.

do players released from PTOs have to pass thru waivers as well ?

  10. I wonder how many contract spots are left? I thought there was 1, but they signed alrikkson yesterday.

    thank god. Blais is ass.

I watched him when he was on the blues and he’s just disapointing

Makes sense. Thought he was pretty comparable to Linus Karlsson out there, wouldn’t make sense to pay another >$750,000 for someone similar
