I haven’t put in any names for this grid yet, but I am a certified Brian Elliott hater and he was just god awful when he was with us and is my pick for this

Edit: Brian Elliott was a huge reason why we got swept by the Ducks in 2017

I nominate myself, because if i was a goalie and played a game for the flames i wouldn’t stop a single puck

  3. SankityDoup

Recent memory tells me that Mike Smith was either absolutely dialled, or there wasn’t a chance in hell he was stopping a puck.

Kari Ramo had nights like that as well

  4. badgerbob1

Tyrone garner. I think he may have played a period, maybe two, but the man tried to play a puck shot wide from centre ice

  5. thedrugisready

Trevor Kidd. First round pick that everyone believed would be great

  6. PlanningMyDeath

Roman Turek for being an absolute disappointment.

  7. AlphabetDeficient

The worst goalie to play for the Flames was Grant Fuhr. In backing up Freddy Brathwaite, he was more than a full point of GAA higher and had an .856 save percentage to Freddy’s .905

    Grant Fuhr

One season in the twilight of his career. Former All Star. Went 5-13-2. Looks bizarre in a Flames uniform. Played behind a pretty bad team though.

  9. hellodankess

Mike Smith. The terrible giveaways, the arm flailing, the blaming the other players, his attitude with the Oilers.

  10. Master-Defenestrator

By the numbers it was Eddie Lack

By pure form 22-23 Markstrom was a historically massive fall from grace.

But spiritually (even if he never actually played for the Flames) the only answer is Tyler Parsons

  11. 04itwasin

Brent Krahn – Drafted ***9th overall*** in the 2000 NHL Draft and never played an NHL game for the Flames. Though he did get 1 game with the Stars and made 3 saves on 6 shots…

  12. raspoutine049

Mike Smith for his on ice performance and his media statements after becoming an Oiler.

  13. mfkterrence

Can I say 2022-2023 Jakob Markstrom but only on the first shot? If not then Brian Elliot

  14. surebudd

Trevor Kidd was taken over Martin Brodeur.

  15. PulltheNugsApart

Brian Elliott. One of the most disappointing trade losses.

  16. Unlikely-Big1560

I’m gonna give it to Wolf and Vladar after they try to backstop this sorry looking team this year

I’ve never been so pissed off at a Flames goalie than Brian Elliott. He was the reason we got swept in 2017.

Also the Blues drafted Jordan Kyrou with the pick we gave them.

    Mike smith

He wasn’t bad on paper compared to some second string goalies. But he gave away so many pucks trying to play it behind the net, and he always choked when it really mattered. From a first string goalie that’s brutal.

  19. dontshartthefart

Sadly, it’s Grant Fuhr. I love him in St.Louis as a kid. But he was so bad as a Flame.

  20. eddiebronze

How in the hell do you pick just one?!
Ken Wregget, JS Giguere, Jeff Reese, Andrei Trefilov, Rick Tabbaraci, they all sucked and the list just keeps going

  21. Sweet-Razzmatazz-993

Most potential is Brett Hull no question.
    Most underrated was Martin St.Louis.
    Most wasted: Brett Hull
    Best hands: Kent Nelson

  22. dewgdewgdewg

Kris Russell. The only goalie that refused to wear pads.

  23. pariprope

Roman Turek…after he signed a new contract

  24. gfountyyc

Can I just throw a vote for Tyler Parsons for getting my hopes up?
