Swayman can dig in all he wants. He's not get 8×8. He should have jumped at that, even though that would have been an overpay. As a bruins fan I love swayman but I wouldn’t give him more than 8×8 with our track record with goalies and him never being a full time starter. Hopefully both sides can find a reasonable solution

In his all-star career, Neely barely made $8 million over his entire, Ulf Samuelsson shortened playing career.
And here's this barely drafted pick from Alaska turning down $8 million a YEAR on a long term deal.
Neely is about to lose his mind, regretting that he didn't keep Ullmark instead, and watch some other team twist in the wind putting up with his antics.
No its not 8×8 they offered Swayman. I think a full video on the Neely comment and the agent's response would be enlightening.
If Bruins did offer 8×8, then:
1. Bruins are completely out of their mind. That's too much
2. Swayman is completely out of his mind. He really should have taken it.
8 x $8 million is high for a goalie who is, in all honesty, is unproven as a bona fide starter. The fact that Swayman is still holding out after an offer like that is frankly ridiculous and even if he signs I could see him getting traded in a few years anyway
If Swayman thinks he deserves for more than 8×8 then he is out of his mind. Swayman was protected behind Ullmark so I don't know what for him and his agent would believe that they deserve more than that? Only 4 goalies are currently earning more than 8 mil per (not counting Carey Price) and Swayman is not even the best goalie from his draft class…Bruins should just not even bother to budge and let him just sit at home and wait Swayman to kill his own career.
