Why pay for lot parking ever? I get it’s a convenience but if you’re being price conscious… it’s definitely not a necessity.
If you don’t mind walking like 5 mins, park at Charlotte Street behind the Masonic temple. Parking there on the street is like $3 for 3 hours but keep it on the down low I’ve been using it for years.
Edit: it is also usually pretty filled up and down the street, never had any issues with petty theft parking there and many wings fans park there as well
That’s crazy
A friend turned me on to the Park Detroit app, and it shows where there’s likely street parking available ($1/hour) along with the lots. Park Whiz has gone up in the past year, charging more than the actual lots for the convenience of reserving your spot. There are decent/cheaper lots in Midtown and you can Q-Line it to the rink, too.
Park downtown and walk or take the Q-Line. I only have to pay $20. And the walk does me good.
Park at MGM. Free parking and like a 10 minute walk to the stadium. If you can’t handle the walk, grab one of the scooters and it’ll be like $2 to cruise over to LCA.
Welcome to having a successful team!!
