Meyers seemed like he was doing great but I bet there’s just no room for him right now. Really enjoyed his play and his interviews showed he’s very smart about the game.

>Kraken roster stands at 24 after latest round of cuts.
>14F: McCann, Beniers, Bjorkstrand, Schwartz, Stephenson, Burakovsky, Tolvanen, Wright, Eberle, Tanev, Gourde, Kartye, Hayden, Winterton
>8D: Dunn, Larsson, Montour, Oleksiak, Evans, Borgen, Mahura, Fleury
>2G: Dac, Gru
I believe the Kraken will need to cut 3 additional skaters to be cap compliant. Right now they can only afford to go into the season with 21 total players vs the 23 maximum.
One would assume Winterton, Fleury, and Hayden get the boot next?
Outside of an unseen trade.
Really want to see Hayden on the final roster
I’m pretty concerned about losing Meyers on waivers. He looked really good. I also would have wanted to see Winterton in the AHL getting more minutes (plus he’s waivers exempt). Not sure I love that decision.
I wonder if a move on Tanev/Gourde is coming soon being that they were both held out of yesterday’s game, and now they’ve kept 2 extra wingers (for the time being, at least). We’ll see.
Glad to see sale getting sent to coachella. He looked better all during rookie camp, training camp and preseason
