I don’t know if a coach has ever been fired during preseason, but Luke is making a strong case for it.

Just like the old Dollar Bill days, garbage team and most fans can’t watch. He’d be super proud of the job Danny Wirtz and Jaime Faulkner are doing.

Luke needs to be on the hot seat. Same shit as last year. Getting outshot and not competitive with the NHL roster. Kyle from Chicago should also be on the hot seat if this team doesn’t show improvement by the end of the year too

  3. I know it’s preseason so I’ve been quiet but damn!

We look bad and its hard to watch.

  4. I was worried about the compete level last year but was willing to give Richardson the benefit of the doubt because the Hawks were essentially an AHL team. I know it’s only the pre season, but everything looks exactly the same.

The recent article about Richardson hiding Bedard’s sticks/gear to keep him from spending so much time on the ice after practice isn’t a great look either. You’re the head coach dude. If you don’t want Bedard out there so long put your foot down and stop it from happening.

I have been and still consider myself to be a strong fan of Luke Richardson.

With that being said, this preseason has been putrid. Not what any of us were expecting with the talent we added in the offseason.

Bedard, Turbo, Bertuzzi, Maroon, Dickinson have stood out to me. That’s it. We still can’t do anything on the power play and nobody has any chemistry

It’s rare that preseason has me worried, but we’ve looked so bad. I think Richardson will find his seat very hot if we aren’t at LEAST 10 games better than last season.

As for those turning on Davidson, we knew this would take long to rebuild. If 2 years from now we aren’t in the mix for a playoff spot, I’ll be worried. But the coach to me is a bigger problem right now. I hope they can get the kinks figured out cause we look very, very bad

  6. If these types of losses last season were « inexcusable » on a worse roster, what’s the word now? I mean it’s essentially the same mistakes every game. And I have no strong feelings towards Richardson either way, but I think we need a change. Whether it’s a mental thing with the players and/or structural issues with coaching, it’s time for a new voice. I understand all the caveats (it’s presason, lots of new players, etc), but nobody should be happy with the last two games.
