The positive way to look at it is it would have been a close game if the Devils goalie didn’t make an insane save. Also a terrible turnover by the Sabres on the first goal. You would hope that can be cleaned up.

Like I've been saying, this team got worse and that's on Kevyn Adams. So who's gonna score? Thompson was invisible, Tuch was invisible Cozens was invisible. Tomorrow morning's game won't be any different. Yay Lindy's back, it didn't matter UPL gave up some softies but may have gotten injured too. So how bout them Sabres?
2 seasons ago the team embraced a run and gun offensive style and found offensive success. As a result teams started playing them differently. We are now a full season later, and the core players still have not developed an answer to that tactically. Pretty sad. Everyone wearing a letter disappointed.
I feel like a loser admitting how many seasons in a row i saw every game. But i gave up trying to catch them all, listening to pre and postgame, etc. It just felt like they didnt care as much as i did. I got that feeling again today.
The Devils are a better team and seem to have the Sabres number a little bit. Still a fair amount of perimeter play from the Sabres, which is not winning hockey in the NHL. If Adams is serious about making the playoffs, I think he will have to make a significant trade (not Farabee) to upgrade the talent in the top-6. Thompson and Cozens as centers 1-2 may not be the answer.

The only REAL positive I can take away from this game, is the fact that Devon Levi gets a chance tomorrow to up his value. We already feel as fans that he should be #2 over Reimer this season, but if he comes out strong, it would get him closer to a 1B.
Only time will tell if of when Levi becomes the 1 or 1A, but a strong game tomorrow is a great place to start.
I would like to thank the awful Mattias Samuelsson for giving the puck away not once but twice in a 20 second span before the 1st goal.

Kulich should be in top6. Whole sabers supposed deep forward group sucks ass. Only guys on sabres roster worth mentioning is Thompson, Peterka and Quinn, that's 3 guys, and none of them are stars, also Cozens is single most overrated guy ever 3rd line center at best and i think only Ostlund has chance to be your 2nd line center. I bet if Kulich was Canadian he would be in top6 a year ago. Whole Czechia wants him to be traded somewhere else. I am sorry for harshness but this club along with Red Wings has bad reputation here. Also not playing Kulich in his home country before his parents is dick move.
It literally looked from seconds after the opening puck drop the Sabres were overwhelmed and overpowered by the Devils. They couldn't match their speed and intensity until the Devils had their foot off the gas by the third. I actually turned it off after two periods. If these guys are going to continue to play like unwatchable garbage then I'll call it a life for my fandom at this point. I've watched the Sabres since I was either years old, circa 1988 and even some of those late 80s/90/91 teams that didn't do much were thoroughly enjoyable as compared to this nonsense. And what's with Dahlin playing so soft?? Paul Hamilton had a good write up on this last night. Good grief! You're a Captain now, play like it! I wish I could see them bouncing back later this morning but not based on what was on display yesterday. I'm open to holding out hope but only if this roster finally flips their internal switch.
