So unless I missed someone that leaves
Edstrom Robertson Berard Mancini as guys remaining in camp who weren’t on the team last year
Edit: I guess smith and Carrick as well but they were expected to make the team
this is fine, so long as Berard makes the team. Berard brings what NYR needs more than anything: 5v5 play and transition ability, and he has been doing very well at that in preseason
In all fairness Otter didn’t show enough in the preseason .
hate to see it but makes sense. Othmann just didn’t do enough to deserve a spot on the opening night roster. Last night was also a bad outing from him just fully invisible while playing with laf and vinny. I also take this as a sign that Bread will be good to go for opening night and the only open forwards spot would be the 4th line wings, probably better to let Othmann get quality top line time in the AHL then stapled to the 4th line here
Othmann just didn’t show enough. He had one game where he looked ok, the rest he was practically invisible.
I am not liking the Carrick signing. He looks ok on the penalty kill but that is about it.
I would like to see Mancini in for Lindgren.
4th line: Edstrom Johnny B Rempe.
Othmann had some good moments this preseason. But he really didn’t *grab* a spot. This is honestly ok with me.
Man I wanted Othmann to be ready for the team this season so bad but he’s just not 🙁
We’re gonna have both Rempe and Carrick start the opener aren’t we?
Are we certain Carricks spot is guaranteed?

Othmann is going to be a career fringe NHLer and probably be too old before he’s needed anywhere. He isn’t even good in the AHL. Completely overhyped for years.
Had his chance with top 6 minutes and didn’t capitalize. He’s close
