Oh Bob costas and what ever that others dude name is where do I even start. the negative Yankee bias has been ongoing for years and it shows still in 2024 whatever. We still take dubs. Stay mad
Where’s the umpire review located again? How terrible!!? 2024 and still can’t get calls right… Maybe it’s not a can’t, more so a want… What a joke… But the Royals can’t walk batters in either… Not to mention the umpire was completely out of position on the play to make that call.
Sloppy game. Whoever wins the NL championship, will win the WS. No doubt.

I know people will harp on about the stolen base at 2nd and the replay – it wasn't conclusive. And the game wasn't lost there. The game was lost on the bad decisions by the Royals in other parts of the game. And by their pitchers that walked in two runs. Or by the Royals sending that runner home with 0 outs early in the game.
If it was the wrong call, the Royals made that wrong call matter. It could have been 7-2 at that point if the Royals played better ball and no one would care if that call at 2nd was right or wrong.
Umps definitely helped get Yankees over the finish line, but make no mistake. Royals lost this game due to their mistakes. Not because of that terrible call on Chisolm.
Hopefully, Q will learn and Bobby will hit better in game 2. This is going to be a great series!

This was some of the worst officiating I’ve seen in a game. Chisholm was obviously out at 2nd base, and that 3rd strike by Witt was clearly a ball. Because of those bad calls the Yankees won. I’m glad that Yankees fans in the comments are genuinely being fair and objective.
As a lifetime Boston fan, glad to see Verdugo finding success and contributing to the Yanks. Still wondering if the WS ends up being Mets-Yanks, who do New Yorkers pull for?
