  1. Welp gg devils, Sabres just gotta all bring their game up, levi was awesome, greenway was actually the hardest worker…which depending on who you talk to isnt a good thing. was hoping for a Kulich goal for his hometown but nope. gotta get it together for thurs. still lots of season left.

  2. Bratt tried the wrap around and missed, bounced off the post and went straight to Timo. Goal.

  3. If we have 20+ reg losses by Jan 1 Ill start panicking. For now, I’ve liked Power’s game as he almost got his second today. Clifton is solid as per usual. Krebs is hungry but needs to develop better chemistry
    with his line mates.

  4. Appropriately enough, I watched part of this game on the Jersey Turnpike. The Sabres reminded me of why we fired Ruff in the first place. They’re like chickens with their heads cut off.

  5. That final goal is pretty much the embodiment of how Buffalo's season is going to go.
I'm surprised the Sabres didn't go after Meier, after running the goalie over.

  6. As a Sabres fan it's weird because the fans just make stuff up about why they lose- they cry that they are soft or lazy but the truth is they just lack some top end talent, they have one player( Dahlin ) who could be described as a franchise type, good teams often have 3-4 players on Dahlin's level.

  7. I’m already done with this season as a Sabres fan and after the regression of last season I have no patience left. This is the end of another failed rebuild for the Sabres. I don’t even care about winning the NHL Draft lottery, it doesn’t matter if you have the first pick in the draft because the kids are drafted at such a young age they don’t help you anyway. And, when you play teenagers, you burn your years under contract control and they become highly coveted trade targets once they develop – but you never get back as much as you give up. NHL trades never benefit the team giving up the best player and often the best player in a trade is a guy you drafted and developed but can’t win with. Eichel and Reinhart were that guy in Buffalo. I hate the NHL, there’s no player movement among quality players. Zero. None. The NHL should only allow teams to draft teenagers if they’re guaranteed a roster spot. If they’re not then they continue to play Junior Majors or NCAA. Then you take away restricted free agency and force teams to stay within a tight percentage of the cap, raise the cap floor and lower the ceiling to force teams into competitive balance. The NHL is a joke of a league, I hate how the Bills stockpiled talented players and lost them to the cap this offseason but I understand that it’s better for the game to have talent spend throughout the league. The NHL is a league of perpetuity, if you’re good you’re good for a long time and if you’re bad you’re not relevant for a decade. The Bruins are guaranteed a playoff spot every year, doesn’t matter who leaves in the offseason. The Sabres are guaranteed to miss the playoffs and there’s no avenue to improve the team. Free agency? Maybe they’ll acquire a 47 year old Patrick Kane but there’s nobody out there that is good enough to change the fortunes of the franchise. Either those guys are under contract control or they’re still developing. Even the kid in Chicago, just awesome but he’s not sniffing the playoffs for awhile. He’s not good enough to carry the team on his back because he’s too young. Free agency? It’s a joke, difference makers don’t move. There’s no way to improve a team in the NHL, draft picks mean absolutely nothing because draft eligibility is too early and free agency is designed for the rich to get richer. Weak teams can’t build back up because the cap doesn’t force player movement. I hate the NHL, love hockey but the NHL is a garbage league. Baseball is almost as bad, same problem with the early draft age (actually it’s much worse in baseball because of player development time there) but at least they have relevant free agency. Hockey has NONE. What do I have to look forward to as a Sabres fan. Long post but maybe my final hockey post of the season because I’m already done with the season. Two games in and I’m already done hoping that the Sabres are going to be magically better. They suck. They are undersized and play a soft game and I think Lindy Ruff gets fired before he wins his 500th game coaching in Buffalo. He needs less than 20 wins and I don’t see it in this team. Of course, you can always squeeze out enough shoot outs wins to get there but he might get fired before he gets there. This team is garbage and I don’t even care if they win the Draft Lottery. Hell, give the Sabres the FIRST THREE PICKS in the NHL Draft and I GUARANTEE they still don’t make the playoffs. I don’t think it would make any difference, no advantage at all. Maybe two of those kids would play year one and neither one would good enough (or old enough) to make a difference. Thank God for the 10 minute game highlights on YouTube. I’ll watch every game this season in condensed form but it’s going to take a lot for me to sit for a full game. There’s a lot of stuff to do and Sabres hockey is on par with Netflix right now. I’m not making plans when the Bills are playing but if the Sabres are playing? I’d leave the house to buy fucking groceries. Groceries. I’d skip Easter Sunday mass for a Bills game but I don’t care about NHL hockey. My team perpetually sucks and it feels absolutely hopeless every season. It feels like the Sabres are a decade away from being relevant in the league and there’s no reason to keep watching the NHL. It didn’t help my fandom that NHL blackout rules kept me from watching Sabres hockey for about a decade. That’s another story. Try being a Sabres fan in the eighties and nineties in Central NY, I saw ONE Sabres game in 10 years because Time Warner carried MSG instead of Empire Sports Network. I lived 3 hours away and never saw my team favorite play unless they were on national television – which was never. Season ending rant, done. My season is over before it’s even started for almost fan in the league…😂

  8. Sheldon Keefe is really what NJ needed – if he can keep them driven at this level all season long, making playoffs won't even be a question. The real test is how good is this devils team in the playoffs, having only 2 playoff appearances and 1 series win in the last 10 years.

  9. With the owners supposedly wanting every team to visit their arena at least once it seems strange to me they would have this series between non divisional rivals.

  10. Really wonder what decisions are made once the devils blue line is fully healthy. Who do you take out of that lineup?

  11. Palat missing game actually had huge impact since Cotter got slotted up and made a huge impact.

  12. Watch the clips more closely because Bratt did indeed go for the wrap around but his angle was off and it bounced off the post to Timo. He was going for the goal not the pass.
