I really thought they’d wait to see if he could repeat and be a proper top 6 winger. Guess they didn’t wanna stick around and find out so looks like they settled on a safe cap hit and term.

Also likely means this team sees him as a Garland type player who can play up and down the lineup. I also wonder if he’ll just outright replace Garland once his contract is up, or maybe they move off Garland in the summer cuz I’m not sure where they pulled an extra 2M + Boeser extension from.

Locked up before going off on a line with Debrusk and Petey. Allvin can’t stop cooking up Ws

The CHEF cooking once again. One more move like this by the Chef and I’m saying fuck it and giving him my hair follicles for a transplant

Great deal for a winger who can play anywhere in the lineup. Even if his shooting percentage drops this year I think it’s smart to get the deal done early.

Starting to believe Allvin might have been sent from heaven to save us from Benning

Love it, been a good day for Allvin and co. Can’t wait til season starts next week.

24 ES goals last season but shot 20%

I’ve been high on the guy since the day he was drafted but admittedly he’s still a bit of a question mark. Management must anticipate a big season from him if they’re wanting to lock him down now

I went to Vancouver for my bachelor party last year and got a Höglander jersey. Hope he’s a Canucks for a very long time.

  12. They must think he has room to grow and want to lock him in.

Im probably *less* bullish on Hoglander than a lot of this sub, but this is a tidy freakin’ piece of business.

If he can be a regular 15-20 goal guy that can play 3rd line minutes, bring some energy and be a thorn in the other team’s side, you’re more than happy with this deal.

I like the AAV and the term, im just not use to seeing us extend RFAs a year before their contract expires

Just in time for dinner 🍲 thank you chef 🙏

I think this is gonna look like a steal in two years. He’s still signed this season at 1.1

People forget there were games last year when Hoglander looked like our best player. He just needs to round out his game defensively and be more consistent and this could be a steal. One of the best puck battlers on the team and comes into camp every year in top shape. Still only 23. I love the risk reward of this contract.

It’d be interesting to see which 2 out of Heinen/Sprong/Hoglander will get the most top 6 minutes this year.

Alright now we can try him on the first line. I want to see Hog-Miller-Boeser so badly.
