@Hurricanes de la Caroline

    No jokes for this one, hope everyone stays safe and their arena doesn’t suffer too much damage.

    This could be the big one for that region. Hoping their families are coming with them or headed somewhere safe as well

    Just plan to have Tampa play a back to back down here. No point even risking it.

    The soil saturation in Tampa is going to be fucked from that previous hurricane

    I was planning on going to the game in Tampa (I live in Orlando now by way of Raleigh) but I’m increasingly feeling like that game won’t happen. The storm will be gone by Thursday morning, for the most part, but the amount of storm surge, flooding, and power outages that will occur will likely impact the area for days/weeks.

    The reason game tonight is showing on ESPN as cancelled.

    Let’s just do a Friday/Saturday back-to-back at Lenovo? Let the Lightning be the « home » team on Saturday?

    Since we play them twice at home this season, best course of action would probably be playing a home back-to-back to start the season and play them at Amalie on March 12th. Don’t want to postpone the game and cause a scheduling issue or risk the health and safety of the teams and fans.

    Not to make light of the situation but it’s rather ironic and funny that the two teams named after storms may have to change around their plans for an actual real life storm.

    I feel like the sentence “The Tampa Bay Lightning have to visit the Carolina Hurricanes earlier than anticipated due to a hurricane” would be one of those that puts a Victorian child in a coma lmao

    Natures way of letting Guentzel know he should have signed with Carolina. I have family on Davis island and they are bailing out to Georgia.

    for everyone saying back to back games at Lenovo: State plays Saturday night so probably wont work

    It makes sense. Keeps them out of harms way, ready to play. I just hope there’s a plan for the families too.

    Damn that’s crazy four days in a hotel to start the season. Hopefully the hurricane dies down before it gets close. Last team Tampa needs after the last one.
