  1. Great deal by Swayman. $8.25AAV at 8 years.
He didn't do anything ridiculous or absurd.
Great job Swayman, Neely, GM, and Bruins. It's over.
Also thanks for giving armchair GM's and comment typers something to do.

  2. Gross really stuck it to the bruins this can still end really badly. Swayman better show he is worth it.

  3. Good for both sides, it just sucks that we have to go through Hell to get to Heaven, just like in real life. Congrats Boys….

  4. Both sides compromised, a slight overpay for the first 2-3 year's, fair contract for years 4-6 and a steal during years 7-8.

  5. They didn't come up a little bit they came up 2 million dollars now it's 66 million dollar contract

  6. I’ll wait until the season starts and he hasn’t been traded in a sign-and-trade deal.

  7. Thanks for the update Mike!
    It's called "Negotiations 101":
    1. Swayman gets his "qwan" by giving in a bit.
    2. Bruins also give in a bit and get their "G" for the foreseeable future.
Now…we watch and see who made the right decision. Will Swayman elevate his game and prove his worth and earn the contract OR will he fizzle out. One way or the other…..Bs are now anchored to him and his contract because if he falters, NO TEAM is going to want him or his contract at $8.25 mill/season. It's a huge risk, BUT to have a bonefide #1 "G" you have to take risks, and Bs are hoping their risk pans out.
    Time will tell.

  8. 6.25 is not a low offer at all. Swayman has not proven himself as a full time goalie only a tandem goalie. i believe he is going to prove to not be worth the money with the extended work load. We shall see lets go Bs and swayman dont such POS. and Korpi is opening night man

  9. Finally!!! I really hope he plays up to the level this contract demands because I remember not too long ago when the Blues gave Binnington that ridiculous contract after the Stanley Cup win–thus far, he has failed to meet expectations since he got the big deal. Let's hope the Bruins and Swayman do well, for both their sakes'.

  10. For the league it’s all about money. For the player, money, the agent, money, the franchises, money. It’s no longer a sport it’s greed paid for by fans.

  11. Holy crap. You know if the deal got done this quickly Luis Gross had nothing to do with it. That guy is a greasy scumbag

  12. I would've preferred 4 years $40m, and spent the balance on secondary scoring.
He is good,…but that many years, with possbly a no-trade clause? Way too risky.
