I honestly think with this trade we could possibly get Rasmus Anderson eventually, since he's a Right Shot D, don't know if the Canucks have him on their radar or not, but I'm sure he'll be a key D piece for big success, maybe a 3rd round or Cup win?!

Staying out of LTIR, we shed $2M worth of cap space which also is another dead-money contract off the Canucks' books.
As for the asset coming in, he'll definitely add to the defense depth.

We actually technically give up the draft pick because we got that for podkolzin. So really it’s podz and poolman out with the 3 mill
If Vagas can waive Robin Lehner without any penalty, why Canucks cannot get the same salary cap relief from Poolman as Golden knight have?😢
Good move. Cap flexibility will be key. 4th rounder wasn't a huge price to pay for Colorado to take on damaged goods. Poolman may never play another game. Brannstrom will give the Canucks more depth on D which is a positive over a long season. Thanks, Clay.
I know people don't pay much attention to plus minus ,but I look in comparison to his team average and at + 5 tells me he is decent.
Wonder if we could in turn trade him for an RHD; love the move for the LTIR ramifications, when it's essentially Podkolzin (4th from EDM) and Poolman for Brannstrom.
