Resident of northwest FL and lightning fan here. I’ve seen that a good amount of models of hurricane milton project it will rapidly gain strength up to a cat 5, but then lose strength even more rapidly and probably be a lower grade hurricane by landfall. Here’s to hoping it’s nothing major 🙏
Love the Höglander contract. It's very likely he would've gotten more than that in arbitration a year from now, but in return he gets some more security with the 3rd year which I'm sure is very valuable to him considering how he's had to battle to establish himself in the lineup.

Hoglander contract is a good signing. However, the cap has to keep going up, the OEL buyout has two years of 4.7m penalty.

Gagner is done? What an up and down career! I hope he saved his money and has plans for his future. Always seemed like a nice guy; didn't work out, e.g., in Vancouver, but you could tell he was liked by his teammates. Could he have adjusted his game to fit better in the bottom 6, maybe play more years? Hard to say.
Cut Hog from my fantasy team as a late draft pick. he's not cracking top 6 barring injuries. Debrusk Spring Boeser Heinen are locks after this preseason. will be difficult scoring 20+ playing bottom six.
You should have mentioned Mancini most likely to make the Rangers and play in the top 6 for the Rangers. Have not been sent down. Rangers have 7 with Lindgren most likely on IR to start the season. Any chance of surprise rookies that made the opening night rosters for teams. Would be a fun list to do. Tons of surprises this year in my opinion.
Höggy works harder than anyone
Grimaldi is one of my close friends uncle, I'm pretty sure the reason he doesn't get signed is just because of his height he's super built so I don't see any other reason why teams wouldn't want him. Personally I think he's an amazing player.
As a point of reference, Höglander had 24 even-strength goals this last season. This is tied with Sebastian Aho, Brock Boeser, and Connor McDavid.

I'm a fan of Hoglander but this leaves them no money to give Boeser a raise next year. The OEL buyout doubles and only Suter (1.6M) and Forbort (1.5M) come off the books. Unless the cap goes up 6-7 million, they are going to need to trade someone who is making decent coin.
