I m bit even shocked how Bourne negatively talks over Max . You cant avoid the impression that there is something personal grudge??
He is a veteran player with a lot of experience and as they talked , if his skating is fine, he will deliver. His plus minus will be positive , and he will shoot some goals too.
By negativity you seldom win. These guys have alteady thrown Hakanpää under the bus. Before he has played ant game in the team. Others will follow soon, when few games have been played. Groce.

I imagine Pacioretty can score 15 goals or so, which would replace Knies or Robertson's 15 ish goals last year. Then those two guys can replace Bertuzzi's 20 goals and then some. Offense is better this year just due to those two getting older.

Numerous players have said that Matthews is extremely hard working. You don’t get to be a top 3 player in the NHL without being a hard worker.

Thats a perfect contract for Patchs, if he is good he gets paid and plays more, if not its a very small risk .

Still feel a Liljegren and Robertson trade would be great for a physical forward like Vatrano , Coleman or Crouse .
I like Robertson but we need more physical guys because our mix of players is not good to fit Robertson in.
And Liljegren might be good trade bait to a building team.
That 3rd line would get torn apart on defense!
Reaves should not be in NHL anymore, with Lorentz now Reaves has no use and is a liability.

The team has lot of firepower.
Adding Pacioretty to a rebuild could be a positive, as he'd be able to help the young players develop. With the Leafs he might be able to fill a bottom 6 roll and add some additional leadership to the locker room.
