@Rangers de New York

  1. Right before I literally said “man, some of the changes are really giving me hope” and then… this. Bunting and Puljarvi are the best players on the team right now. McGroarty I feel bad for. Karlsson finally got to do some offense but several times he was missed wide open for passes. And it’s game one and Sullivan already showed the same fearful tendency of last year to desperately start mixing up lines. I’m sorry, but conditioning-wise and talent-wise the Pens should not have looked like this at all. This is a coaching issue.

  2. As a long time Leafs fan there is 0 reason at all to get worked up over early season. All throughout the 2010s the Leafs would start like 9-1 and seemingly always get a shutout or 2 in the first 10. You know how that goes by the end of the season.

  3. Pens are going to finish last in the metro…yes, I said last. Tristan Jarry, worst starting goalie in the league..he will not be a penguin by the year is done and Mike Sullivan will be gone.

  4. Same old same old with the Pens. It's starting to become abundantly clear that nothing is gonna change as long as Sullivan is in charge.

  5. And for gods sake can Dubas try and give Sid a competent scoring winger? It's a crime against hockey that Sid's linemates were Anthony Beauvillier and Drew O'Connor

  6. Simply put, Pens are just too old. How old is Crosby, Letang and Karlsson? It’s just old. They need fresh new face.

  7. None of the three teams I was rooting for (Pens, Canucks, Avalanche) won tonight. My life is pain. The Oilers getting shut out is a plus tho.

  8. Man, I know people are hard on goalies, especially in Pittsburgh, but there is a segment of Pittsburgh will defend a goalie no matter what (I am probably more on this line of thinking than the later). Jaary couldnt stop a beach ball early, and while he had a couple nice saves, thus was another pitiful showing from a guy that has quite a few.

    Not going to lie I still havent gotten over the Islanders overtime goal form a few years ago when Jaary passed the puck tight up the center of the ice and onto an Islanders stick for an immediate goal to lose the game.

    Pens are going to be a very soft team again. I wished Boko would have made the team, but there wasnt a spot for him. Then we lost Ludvig on waivers to Colorado. And before someone jumps down my throat for saying this, no neither would have changed the outcome of this game, nor was this an overly physical game that required a fight. But some toughness and grittyness would be nice. It sucks to watch the team you love get man handled year after year, without a shred of toughness. Hell at times they are mentally soft too (excluding only Crosby). Sullivan doesnt like and wont play gritty players, and Dubas wont get them… and when he does, they languish in the press box (Ludvig) or in the minors.

    I think Sullivan is a grat coach, top 3 or 5 in the league. His time may be nearing its end, and honestly at this point I wouldnt even be sad to see it.

    TLDR: Jaary still sucks, the team is soft. Mike Sullivan needs fired (lol)

  9. I keep getting shouted down every time I bring up that Jarry is an INFERIOR goalie. Yes I know our defense is weak AND lazy…but every single time I've watched the Pens – and that's a LOT – Jarry just disappoints. Sorry it's a fact…as long as Jarry is our goalie , we are going to keep missing the playoffs and/or definitely the Cup…and this HURTS because I've been a loyal Pens fan since the Lemieux / Jagr days.

  10. Third line is going to carry us to the cup. The new and improved Kid Line was insane tonight.
