Getting the physical body moving/ back in the groove & mental qualities returned to 'season' modes of thinking for Family-Team and persnal Self, are the strides to create upcoming tides.
I was scared the way the preseason started every game they lost was a blowout by what 3-4 goals. They don’t have the defensive and goaltending to be half as good as they were last year
The loss of Halloway, Foegele and McLeod sure showed its head tonight. This team isn’t the same without the speed they played with last season. No puck pressure and zero chemistry out there.
There’s no explaining away that crap effort, surgically slicing pieces of the Stanley cup team for the crap d we now have is disappointing to say the least. I sure hope they show up from here on in. This game was disgusting, should have kept Rodrigue. Skinner looked like he wasn’t even the net. I have to look at it like” what the F was that”!
Emberson will be good in our D system. He just needs to relax and not make the panic pass. All of the D looked off last night, Dermott was decent. DR & Perry need to go to Bako (Both are too old and won't really make a difference on the ice). Bring Philip up and insert Lavoie on the 4th. IMO Podz should be 2nd line with Leon & Arvid. Podz has been impressive, good hitting & back checking, good speed, just needs some puck confidence (hopefully he earns a look as he improves). Skinner should play with Rico & Brown (at least this way he can be the cherry picker as the other 2 actually back check). Janny with Philip & Lavoie.

Everyone is talking about the players they are missing from last year. But last year they lost 8-1 in the season opener with those players.
It’s the first game but then again Florida didn’t seem to have a Stanly Cup hangover. The players sucked tonight time to dig in.

Somehow I feel like bringing in cheaper young guys was a better plan than more expensive washed up old guys.
