    Good first game.

Had to win at home against one of the worst teams in the league.

Gus looked solid which is super important.

    ⭐ Boldy 🚨🍏🍎🐝

    ⭐⭐ Gustavsson 🧱

    ⭐⭐⭐ Johansson 🍎🍎

Happy with a win. Gus played extremely well and confident. Bit sloppy play though throughout. Boldy was excellent

  4. Gus was stellar tonight. If he plays like that most nights this time will be in a great spot

That is a game the Wild had no reason to win.  Gus and the 2nd and 4th lines did all the work.  3rd line came on late, as the PP, and uh…Rossi as 1C has some work to do.  Sloppy ass defense, but Gus stole this.

  6. Good game. A lot of sweat in the end after that DOGPOG into PPG but a win is a win regardless. Ek either scored or provided a screen for the goals, Gus bailed us out. We need to bury breakaways. On to the next one.

First two periods weren’t great but they looked a lot better in the third. Hopefully they can build off that! LETS GO!!! BOLDY WITH 3!

  8. Otherwise-Contest7

Well. That was certainly a game.

    Glad to have hockey back.

There were some clear flaws in this game, but also some very encouraging signs. It’s only game 1, but Freddy, Mojo, and Gus all had better showings than their averages last year.

These are the kinds of things we’re going to need to succeed this year. KK not having his normal beginning-of-season slump would sure help too.

Ggs!! I’m curious to see what this would look like for a top 9:

    Kaprizov Hartman Zucc

    Johansson JEEk Boldy

    Ohgren Rossi Trenin

  11. 82-0 BABY WE’RE WINNING THE CUP FUCK A FIVE YEAR PLAN

Giving up the goal late worries me. Sounds like they defended a little sloppy. Nice to see Gus have a quality start. Then again, all of this happened last year and the wheels were off by Thanksgiving. Let’s see if they can have a decent weekend.

  13. Vikings win, Lynx win, Wild win, Wolves win.

All we do is win! (We don’t talk about the twins)

  14. Good game. I think (hope?) everyone knew that CBJ would come out hot. This was the Wild’s game to lose and they pulled through. No complaints. Looking forward to the next one.

Pretty sloppy overall but a win is a win.

Luckily that 2nd line was going because the top line has a pretty rough night 5 on 5 other than Kaprizov just creating the chances he always does.

Columbus definitely looks like a Dean Evason team. I think they are going to catch some teams off guard with how fast he has them playing.

  16. Gus looked fantastic, 2nd line was THE line, Merrill was invisible (good thing), 1st line was off kilter all night, rough game from Mids.

Good to get an opening night dub. Hopefully the 1st line gets clicking, don’t want to break the Mojo-Ek-Boldy magic up by shuffling some pieces. Really think 3rd line is going to come on strong too.

I don’t mean to overreact and I also realize that we were supposed to win this game and it’s a very small sample size.. but by god this might be the team to finally go 82-0.

I will be devastated if we ever lose.

  18. Matt Boldy is currently pacing for 246 points this season with 82 goals and 164 assists

  19. fastal_12147

Well, it wasn’t the best game, but they won. Gus was a stud tonight. On to Seattle. Hopefully we play better defense on Saturday.

  20. Urbantreefrog

Great win … but man if we had a legit 1C with kirill I’d be much more optimistic about the longevity of the season . Let’s keep it going though !!

  21. moose_lizard

    Boldy.

    Gus looked solid.

I’m a bit worried about Trenin. I know it was one game but he looks slow and just…bad. Hopefully he just takes a bit to get going but if I had to swap someone with Ohgren it’d be him.

  22. cisforcookie2112

Dean is tracking down Darby as we speak to beat the shit out of him.

  23. stumpybubba-

We didn’t lose, but we sure as fuck didn’t look good.

  24. I think the real question everyone is thinking but nobody is asking is will WILDWIN work for 50% off at Papa John’s tomorrow?

  25. Sad_Error_7166

Obviously, the Boldy line was pretty pretty good. I really liked the Foligno, Hartman, Trenin line. The invisible guy was Khuzzy. I’d call out the under performers but I’ve already been attacked by at least one Rossi fan, so I won’t say it

  26. Jawbone619

Was the Johnny Hockey tribute on espn+? I am an Ohio Wild fan and the opener was locked out.

If it was I’ll find another another opener to watch 15 minutes of, other wise, shout out to my dogs at KFAN on Iheartradio
