I’m not overreacting but that stunk
I'm going to call out the fans in LCA. As soon as the Tigers lost, the juice was sucked out of the building. Piss poor energy. The boys got nothing from the fans in the second period and the 3-1 goal happened right as the Tigers game went final. Focus on the sport you're at and don't be a downer if the Tigers or Lions lose. Help cheer on the Wings. Performance from the Wings wasn't good from the end of the first yes, but if you go to a game cheer hard despite outside shit going on.
There is no other way to explain it. I can't stand the fact that the Wings have signed young Europeans, like Seider and Raymond, who have done ZERO to contribute positively, not only during preseason, but also by the end of their first game. If this dismal playing style continues, the Wings will have wasted giving Seider and Raymond,. especially Seider, all those millions. Sure, they talked about wanting to play for the Wings, but now Seider and Raymond, especially Seider, need to prove that they're worth the millions that they signed up for. What a disgusting performance of hockey by the players in red. DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE…… Where the hell was it? And why the hell do the Wings continue to drop the puck into the opposing zone, but ALMOST NEVER RECOVER IT. Why has Stevie Y not allowed for Kasper and Danielson to be on the roster, and let at least Petry and Veleno, and others to be honest, to forget the Wings' address at Little Caesar's Arena? Veleno is horrific as a forward, and Petry left off at what he wasn't good at, which is play hockey. Even Kane looked out of place on the ice, but to his credit he was probably shocked at the amateurs who play on this team, including how atrocious the Wings' defense was. Heads need to roll if this continues, but Lalonde needs to be terminated if the roster doesn't act like a team.
Maata didn't cover the slot, Gust passed to an open opponent in the slot, Petry consistently turns the puck over with stupid plays in his own end, Ras/Copp/Fischer love to try and force a pass in the Ozone every single time (resulting in a turnover and no shot), Husso needs to be waived/shot into the lake.
There is a guy name Marco Kasper who plays better than EVERY other player on our bottom six…for cheaper. You are not losing anything by playing AJ and sitting either Maata or Petry. "The rookies are going to miss coverage that will end in goals, so it's better to play vets." Well, the vets do the same damn things, so you may as well play the younger guy…at least they are likely to improve/learn from their mistakes. A 30+ year old is unlikely to change/improve (or they would have already).
I'd rather play the youth and miss the playoffs than play a bunch of slow, no-compete, poke-and-hope vets and miss the playoffs.

Let’s assume we’re tanking, if that’s the case, pull up kasper, Johansson, mazur, maybe Danielson. Idk. Like you said our 3rd line is pretty much a 4th line. Get the young guys in, we need the energy. Starting to lose faith in the yzerplan. Not sure what the goal is here anymore.
This is year 6 of the Yzerplan, and the team is getting blown out by an old Pens team who played the night before….making the same dumb defensive mistakes? Stevie is way overrated as a GM, guy sucks.

Tigers and Lions rock. Just don't worry about the Wings. Wings suck. This team has a bunch of overpaid washed up vets that the GM paid huge money for. I loved Stevie Y as a captain but his work as a GM has been mediocre, at best.
Terrible effort. The first 5 minutes were fine. Then it wasn't.. then it(effort) just came too few and far between.. We're gonna get caved if we don't commit to defense first. I wanna see Kane and every last player checking the opposing team . I'm not a fan of this roster and if we're gonna lay eggs like this I'd rather it be with more rookies on our team than 99% veterans. But it's still the same system no matter what.. same roster as last year pretty much start waiving and trading people within the first 12 games because we're starting the season in the Gauntlet and this will only get worse and we can't get down to deep unless we're tanking for 1st overall. And if that's the plan..commit to it.. can't half ass anything. We gotta go all or nothing. We will know our identity by November 8th going into Toronto.

I could see the Wings going 2-11 in October easily. They lost one of their easiest game. I'm all on the tank if this season goes bad early.

As I posted numerous times last year and the end of the year before: LALONDE has to go. This is Ausmus all over again. No head coaching experience and a total lack of ability to motivate a clubhouse. He might be a decent assistant coach but 3 years in and there is zero defensive system to speak of and a total lack of effort. Chariot is a disaster, please stop making excuses for him. When he is on the ice at the same time with Copp it is a category 5 disaster.
Way too many times the front of the net was wide open! Husso whiffing on that goal was disheartening. We need an enforcer or two!
