#Oilers d’Edmonton #Oilers #LNH

  1. I know it's just game one but it's still embarrassing. They are supposed to be a top team but they decide to not be ready to play on opening night. If it was a close loss I would accept that but getting blown out is unacceptable.

  2. Lost 5 players from last year. Replaced them with a few players who have little to no experience at the NHL level and 1 guy who might be able to play now. Stuck with a AHL Goalie since they ran a much better goalie (Koskinen) out of town. A Defense that rates about 30th at best (As of now). Contracts coming up that they cannot begin to afford. so without fantastic GM'ing, their shot was a 1 off and it was last year. Go ahead, Tell me I'm wrong.

  3. Skinner doesn’t have natural talent, look at Ullmark in Ottawa, too bad Campbell didn’t turn out to be as good as swayman or ullmark. Oil needed one of them even at their price because no cup without goaltending with shady defensive skills. Much like nyc goalie helped the rangers go farther than they shouldn’t have gotten

  4. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Winnipeg Jets. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end.

This was NOT how the Oilers were supposed to start the season. They weren't supposed to get blown out NO MERCY STYLE in a shutout with Skinner Pulled from net, McDavid AND Hyman not getting ANY Shots on Goal and the guys forgetting how to BLOCK A SHOT. Winnipeg knows how to block shots (29 of them compared to what, 8 for the Oilers, PITIFUL). Oilers had one shot at the PP (Leon Drew a penalty (aka caused Winnipeg to take a penalty by doing nefarious things to Leon (in this case Kyle Connor Slashing Leon). Oilers took 3 penalties and the Jets scored on TWO OF THEM. Our Vaulted PK is apparently still on vacation. So, important note: I didn't watch the game. I have a medical procedure early this morning and had to be rested. Number two, I have surgery pending and my ability to do stats will drop to zero for a bit. Take care all.
