Nothing but love for this guy. Was reading some nasty comments about the way he was acting and stuff. The poor guy was nervous as fuck and as an introvert myself, I felt for the guy@

I’m a Finn and it’s usually a bit awkward to listen our English accent, but Patrik never had any problems with it. So happy. Also Patrik uses the word « obviously » a lot during the interviews. Did the same back in Jets years.

When things get dark around December and January, he’s going to be precisely what the doctor ordered for the fans and the players.

Lfg go Patty, come back strong and don’t be too hard on yourself. We’re all rooting for you.

It was truly a great human moment seeing him yesterday, with Marty by his side with a little pat on the back. Felt like a welcome to mtl, we love you get well soon!

Right on Patty!!! W’re gonna need ya, and you’re gonna love it here.

  7. He looked so sad and ashamed during the presentation, poor guy just wanted to step up and have a great season but life got in the way. He’s gonna bounce back and be great for us I’m sure!

I love how he says Montreal like a real Montrealer!

  9. This guys cracks me up so much. He would be the best at poker.

That’s what he sounds like!? – this is the first time i ever hear him speak, i always assumed he had like an evil henchman from europe type of voice. He just sounds like a normal dude… im slightly dissapointed.

It’s a special person that can immediately become a fan favourite as much for his on ice product as his off ice personality in this market

Bless him. Can’t wait for him to get healthy and show his quality for us.

Few days after Mr. Laine was exchanged to Montreal, I had a dream. In my dream, my wife amd I were struggling with a flood in the basement. The water was raising but we managed to shut the valve. Then the door bell rang. I came up, opened the door. It was Patrick Laine with a truck full of the equipment for a flood. While having a hose on his shoulder and a water pump in his hand he asked if he can helped. I accepted of course. I woke up.
    Still, thank you Mr. Laine.

How good was his english before coming to Canada?

Sounds english Canadian to me, which would make sense if he learned the language here.

I’m sure he’ll get the Quebecois down soon enough, at least the swear words and ordering Labatt 50 pints
