If funny how this group still can't escape the "big mistakes" when this is year 10 of McDavids career. And there should absolutely no excuse for the lazy starts to games and seasons. You can kiss goodbye another year of being a team that's great from start to finish. This group still hasn't done that and it's very telling.
The captain who couldnt score a goal in the final game of the season the biggest game of his career. Excavator ran outta oil couldnt dig anymore. Ended the season with a loss started the new one losing.
Sooo about last year.. tell me how you really fee oh my bad. This should be good. I think Brown/Henrique/Janmark are salty as they took haircuts so the team could get more D help. Not make Leo the highest paid player in history. No Hart MVP or Conn Smythe. Amazing offence (faceoffs not great yet), complacency, long shifts, poor back checking, poor defense. Trust me I am glad we got him but I would have preferred a cheap top 4 d-man or two instead of him fleecing the Oilers for a gigantic cap hit. Also how much will Connor want next year? We are screwed unless we win by it all this year.
Connor Mc-Shave-id looks pretty trimmed up and clean…lookin' sharp…I dig it! Given that my teams will surely not win this year, I hope it's Connor's year.
