So much to like about this game. Canes always find a way to get pucks on net and we didn’t give them anything. We’ll need some depth scoring eventually and Lilleberg-Perbix are kinda sketchy but I love the look of our top 4 D and the commitment to team defense. Vasy was also excellent, looked very in control and saw the puck well. Really encouraging. Also a big fan of the way we played with the lead, haven’t seen that in a few years. Always nice to start with 2 points!

Glad to see Vasy play strong in our first game. Hedman was great, too. Kuch and Point playing well and nothing too terrible this game… Hopefully with more time to gel and build chemistry the team just improves, this game bodes well.
Sheary scratched, Geekie debut, Hedman with the C, Kuch hatty and a 4 point night, JG first point, Vasy sharp af. Really good way to start the season. Defense looked stout as fuck.
I couldn’t watch since I don’t have ESPN+. Sounds like Vasy was sharp and it’s only fitting for Kooch to get a hattie to open up the season. Great way to kick things off!
It’s one game, so I’m not going to say the Bolts just became cup favorites. There were issues, but there were also signs that JBB has a strong potential to nail this retool. The more chemistry these guys build, better they are going to get, Vasy looked like Vasy, there’s legit potential here.

Vasy looks back and that’s all we could ask for, the win is a cherry tonight. Still some work to be done but a pretty good start, a lot of good to build on!
It’ll be interesting to see if the depth can develop chemistry and get it going offensively but the overall team defense was great and we do have Kucherov and Vasy. This team looks like it has a lot more potential than what we were working with last two years.

I’m reserving judgment for all new guys until they have a body of work under their feet.
That said Kucherov and Point did Kucherov and point things but I would’ve really loved to see one of the other 3 lines put some shit together.
Couldn’t be happier to see Vasy have a strong healthy game 1 back.
