It’s so sad that Lundqvist wasted his whole career with the Rangers so he could never get a cup. Even sadder that the Rangers are going to do the same thing to their current goalie as well.

Amazing that only two name(s) appears multiple times.
Edit: look, there’s Connor

Holy shit 21-22 Sorokin really was THAT good
yakkabrori
This Henrik Lundqvist guy, was he any good?
Shiny_Mew76
Really is a shame that neither Lundqvist or Price got a cup.
Hope we can get Shesterkin one.

Not taking away from Lundqvists seasons, but his GSAA isnt as high as others. Meaning there were less goals scored those years? That stat makes Ullmark and Shesterkins years that much more impressive

Hank is the fucking man

That Henrik Lundqvist guy might be pretty good

The two things I really take from this are:
1. Bennington’s performance is all over the map. No trend at all. He is legit world class some years and completely pedestrian the next, then world class again.
2. That Mike Smith season was with the fucking Coyotes of all teams.

Man I miss being able to yell « CAM WARD SAYS NOOOO!! » at games

omg im out of the loop! Pardon me but what is GSAx?! and to think i used to be a goalie lol

Minor note these are cumulative numbers that get a huge boost from high games played totals so that’s a big boost for henrik
Like by GSAx per game Tim Thomas 10-11 was way better than Henrik 09-10 (0.706 to 0.453)
Henraaak played 73 games that season, Thomas 57. Brian Elliott in 2015-16 was even higher at 0.711. But only 42gp.
For sure the more games the better indication of true talent but it’s almost certain Thomas had a better season
Would be great to see a /60 version of this chart with a minimum gp threshold

I’m really shocked 2014-15 price isn’t #1. He had a top 5 pick team that he elevated to 2nd best in the league by points.
At least hank had really good defenses in 08-13.

22-23 was a banner year.

Eight of twenty in the metro, seems pretty good. Hard for me to give Lundqvist any love after he flipped the net off its moors like a baby but goddamn was he good.
Marty-Party1297
Wait but redditors keep telling me Lundqvist is overrated and Price is better?
