Definitely a lot to build on. Both games we didn’t see all lines firing together. I think Nelson and Palmieri looked especially good last night and the top line looked great in game 1. Defense has a lot of work to do but it all seems correctable positional stuff.
PK can’t be as bad as it was last year, right?
Id like to see somebody else get a chance in Wahlstrom’s spot. Doesn’t seem like he’s clicking there or capable of playing the high energy style the 4th line needs to bring. I’d guess he gets a few more games to help and if not we see Gauthier possibly.

If we can get 75% of the effort we had in the 3rd Period last night in every period, we can win a lot of games. The issue of only getting a good effort for 20-40 minutes every game and not being able to hold leads are obviously issues that stem from last year even with Roy. As much as we love Roy he needs have these problems fixed soon or else it could drag on for the rest of the year again
