  1. “Video review determined Edmonton’s Corey Perry had a significant presence in the crease which impaired Dan Vladar’s ability to play his position prior to his goal. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 69.1, which states in part, “Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal.”

  2. Their fans were so arrogant and confident after game #6 that coilers would win the Cup, there is no hockey in Florida, Bob is shaky, etc. This season I hope either Stars or Knights or Avs will not let them to the final

  3. The Oil look totally off, McDavid and Draisital look human. Gonna be a long season for Edmonton….and it breaks my heart. NOT

  4. those two goals called back – the Perry one was seriously 50/50 … he was outside the blue paint the goalie was up tight to him… they have to get this right – too many good goals are getting called back …

  5. edmonton looks like they are still processing the pain of the loss last year… they don't look like they are fully focused on the present moment

  6. when that is goalie interference then make a second ring about the goal and when someone enter call it.
    these calls getting annoying,

  7. The Oilers were lucky against the Canucs, they shouldn't even have reached the finals!!! Demko, DeSmith, Boeser… This year we will see how bad they are. GD 3:15 after 3….!!!:)

  8. They ended the season with No GM. Then a front office guy decided that the high scoring team needed more offence instead of defence.. A team that showed difficulty defending. If the D cannot move the puck up to the forwards and clearing their own zone even the superstars cannot score 5v5. Totally dependant on the powerplay. They also lost defencemman who maybe were not the best but seemed to get the job done. Obviously they should have worked to improve in that area. I think of Tanev and OEL who signed for similar money. But of course there was no GM to do that. Real failure by management. Unfortunately I do not see how this can be fixed. Window closes next year for one of the oldest teams in the league. Many teams have improved from last year so it is not going to be as easy this time around.

  9. One of the worst goal call backs ive ever seen (on Perry’s goal). If that is the standard this season, then the league is screwed. But we also know it won’t be enforced evenly.

  10. Linesman calling icing on the empty net post is inexcusable. Pure incompetence if he doesn’t know this very basic rule.

  11. This right here is why a good chunk of fans (including me) don’t like McDrai, too much whining and entitlement.

It looks like the team is in the dumps from losing game 7 in the SCF as McDavid made some lazy defensive plays that led to goals against and he didn’t really do much in the game. He is the captain and has to set an example you know go out there get some goals and win otherwise if the losses continue another coach may be fired.
