I don’t think anyone at EA does their homework on Calgary. Even the players in the system are insignificant in the game, as you see with Honzo. Pospisil last season IRL should have caught some attention that he would be recognized as an important piece with a little better overall and better potential for sure. I can’t even play as Calgary in Franchise mode because of how poorly they’ve been assessed.
After a few years I got him grown to 89 with a few x factors with elite potential.
Is it not based on last year?
They’ll fix it with roster updates. Stats are all based on last season and he barely played.
And now the Calgary Flames are doing the whole world dirty.
Zary 81, Pospi 78, and Kuzy 85 are even more ridiculous

I haven’t played 25 yet, but I assume it will take them about 3 to 4 years to update our new scoreboard…
He turned into an 89 overall for me in franchise mode
I mean, he’s a rookie and didn’t have a ton of praise coming in after a rough season and a half. Don’t think it’s completely unfair at this junction

I always adjust ratings when I start a franchise. I haven’t bought the new game yet and will just wait for it to hit the ea vault but TicTax (I think is his name) normally releases a roster with sometimes better ratings and top prospects that aren’t in the game. All in all, ea ratings have always been dogshit.
Those honestly seem like pretty good overalls based on last season. I’m sure with the roster update all the rookies that made every teams lineups will be adjusted accordingly
1. The game is made in Vancouver. Hometown bias happens every year.
2. Preseason Stats always get patched with an early roster update, hopefully deserving players will get the appropriate upgrade then.
Well he has 0 pts in the ahl and nhl and was under ppg in his last season in WHL. I mean maybe he could be bumped up to a 74.
The guy just made the team and has 0 points in 3 games, seems fair to me.

Coming from a Florida fan. This is the stupidest thing I have heard. I live in Calgary and have never heard of Honzek. He’s a rookie who was drafted 16th overall and hasn’t put up a single point in the AHL or NHL yet. What ovr do you expect him to be?!?!
Zary, Pospisil, Honzek, and maybe even Huby will go up next update
Pospisil being 78 after the year he had is wild. Honzek doesn’t shock because it’s based on last year but Pospisil was a dog for this team last year and should be like an 81 at least
