Cool. I’ll bet he had that regret about most of his departures, though lol

My favorite player of all time to be clear, but the guy’s a lose cannon

One day in the distant future it would be cool to see him win a cup as an Avs coach.

no shit you self-absorbed ass. You tanked the season in a temper tantrum.

I don’t have feelings one way or the other over it. It was the right time looking back, I love bednar

I’m gonna say it because no one wants to: Patrick Roy is the biggest cry baby rage quitter

No hard feelings. There was a lot of good in there with the bad. I love that you see teams pulling the goalie with like 5 minutes left now. He started that.

And of course, he will first and foremost be remembered as the greatest goalie in Avs history, and a key piece in the majority of our cup wins.

There’s a timeline where he’s a mellow well mannered player and we don’t have any cups during his player or coaching days. I’m fine with how it all played out…

He further said he didn’t appreciate what it meant to be a coach at the time, so fair enough, acknowledging what was abundantly clear to everyone else but he learned. Anyway that bridge should be forever irrevocably burnt. He might have more success now, but the Avs certainly didn’t lose out in the end.

I honestly just laugh about it at this point. We got Bednar and arguably a Cup out of it, so it’s more like, “yep, that’s Roy. Wouldn’t expect anything different.”

Okay but Roy attempting to knock down the glass between benches is an all time avalanche moment

“Wish I started pulling the goalie in the 2nd period.”

9 seasons later, it’s easy to say it was best for the franchise that he left when he did. With his style of coaching, the Avalanche would have never won the cup and MacKinnon would be long gone – he would not have re-signed. We would not have Cale Makar.

Yeah no shit bud. You burned bridges with this fucking club over Nick fucking Holden
