Yo but actually why? Haven’t we all looked back on that time and gone “well that was a mistake”??

Here’s my best guess: as he gets slower in his career, he won’t have as many opportunities off the rush as he used to. Being on the right side gives him more security to protect the puck which hopefully means more opportunity in general. And I don’t know our depth chart by heart but I assume Oshie has left a hole on the right wing that he can slide in to, only question is who fills his spot on the left

Oh no! What if he can’t get his shot off from from the right side?!

I would hate to see his performance from the last game dip.

I get the move if the seasons over and he has like 10 goals, but it doesn’t make sense after he found his groove last season and only one game this season.

The bigger issue is moving protas to the 1st line I don’t get the panic 1 game in

People act like Adam Oates was a terrible for the Caps, but he (and Blaine Forsyth) resurrected Ovi‘s career when he was really struggling, at least by generational player standards.

Also remember that Alex Ovechkin all votes at both left and right wing that year lol
