Obviously this isn’t the actual reason for Demidovs usage, I think it’s a form of punishment for players who want to leave for the NHL. Either that or a way to extort money from Montreal to get Demidov over to north America.
Ultimately SKA is a better team than sochi and I think it’s probably better for Zavragin to be there as long as he’s playing.
