Bouncy puck all over the place tonight. Seems like the game was closer than it should have been?
I expected this from the flames going into the season. All the players who didn't want to play in calgary are now gone, and you can see some refreshing energy. I think the flames will do this season. I don't see them winning the Stanley cup, but I do expect them to be in the wild card picture.
The biggest plus for this game was that the Flames played solid against a team that’s closer to the bottom of the standings. Historically the last few years, the Flames have been guilty of playing to the level of their opponent and losing games they should win. The fact they pulled this one out and stay engaged is a plus.
I expected this team to be better than the talking heads thought but this is something special.

Honestly it’s just nice for us to get a win over Chicago lol. Losing to non playoff teams is what’s sunk us in the past two years. Not playing down to their level is a good sign
Chicago looked decent last night tho. It felt like our hardest game so far.

The teams we have played and won against this year have definitely been struggling. Once we beat the big guns like Vegas or Florida, we will be able to quiet that voice in the back of our head telling us this isnt a fairytail season.
