Our defence is a problem, but would you rather have Nikita Zadorov and end up not having a good offensive core cause if we did sign him we would have a horrible 3rd and 4th forward line. I much rather have the 2 decent forward lines than 1 player who has had 1 good season under his career and it wasnt even that good. I think this team got better 100%.

It sucked losing him. I never understood why they'd let him go over what? Term and money. Now to see, if true, it was just a 5th year…that sucks. Players like him are not exactly easy to obtain. Guy can skate, is a monster, think the play, hit, fight and even chip in on offense. It was a sad day he left:/

I didn't mind Lindholm leaving, but I stated that Allvin dropped the ball with Zadorov as soon as he signed with the Bruins. Zadorov brought so many intangibles to the team and Tocchet had nothing but praise for him. Meyers should have been given a 2 mil per year contract and what good is Desharnais sitting in the press box. One thing is apparent and it is that the Canucks won't go anywhere with the current d core that they have. Allvin claimed that he can't overpay for any one player, but he certainly did with Pettersson. Miller's agent will be looking for 13 mil on his next contract as Allvin has now set the bar too high.

Canucks were panicking about the fact Pettersson might sign with another team so they overpaid and hes getting crushed under the pressure. Missing out on the Zadarov deal was big and he brought alot of life and toughness to the team, it was a big mistake. I think it might be okay but I think the team would be way better off with Zadarov, people loved him and it was always fun to have him around. Hopefully we can work with what we got and make it a good year again.

Honestly, the Canucks were a first place team before they got Zadorov. When they got him, he struggled for much of the regular season he was in Van. Same with Lindholm. He was supposed to bump them over the top. He helped them get pass Nashville, yes. But he is not reason the Canucks aren’t having the same start as last season.
