1. Idk man, got lucky vs Ottawa as they hit 4 posts and Markstrom was great, lost handily to 2 good teams in Toronto and Carolina. 8 games in there should be more chemistry imo. There are a lot of similarities, at times, from last year's struggle. LGD

  2. Devils need to put together a 3 to whatever game winning streak. The playing well to playing like bums needs to stop. Still in October, so I’m not going to complain too much. It’s just the inconsistency. Still not worried about Markstrom. He got pissed on the first goal that got by. The team allowed 17 SOG in the first, which is bs and didn’t help too much till the last minute of the 2nd. No goalie is going to save every shot when the play is consistently in the d-zone. He wasn’t great, but not his fault solely. Carolina and Toronto exposed how to beat the Devils early into the season. Waiting for the T6 to earn their pay. Exception being Nico.
It was sloppy, they did come back and managed to get a point out of it, so not all was lost.
How anyone can say the team is like last year or worse “doesn’t watch the game very well”.
    Jack needs mental health help.
    He’s not injured still.
I texted my nephew last night that the Devils need to let Jack be Jack and have the defense cover for him. He disagreed saying “Jack learning to play defense helps in the long run”. I don’t know if he is that type of player that can adjust his game that much and it’s affecting his production. We’ll see. It worries me though.
Probably all just growing pains from all the changes this offseason.
Casey and Nemec ARE the ones going down. The way Keefe talked about Siegs and Kovacevic in the post gamer only solidifies my beliefs.
11 out of 16 is nice, but they need to be consistent and start beating good teams.
    LGD!

  3. Just to note….terrible defensive game. The turnovers in the Dzone do need to stop. However, this will sound like an excuse, the team is playing uphill. 6 games in 10 days is hard on a team that went to Prague. Team is tired while we are facing teams that had a week off (Carolina) and a couple days off to rest. This team hasn’t been give a chance to rest.

Also, teams are getting up to play us. They are giving their best effort…how do I know? We are second in hits taken which to me, tells me teams are playing hard against us….to offset we are first in hits given. Given us that much needed pushback.

Only concern is we are missing an elite sniper to play with Jack. People are going to complain that Jack isn’t himself. If Bratter finished his two breakways set up from Jack and a wide open net in Carolina……Jack and Bratt lead the team in points. We need a finisher that can keep up with Jack. I love Bratt but going back to last year and in the post season…doesn’t score the timely goals. Still lots of time left to prove my ass wrong.

  4. Why the Devils always forget about the man posting on the opposite side of the puck all alone in front of the goaltetener and puts it the net on across ice pass. And Jack nearly putting the puck in our own net twice.

  5. Should we start to worry about Markstrom ? Ok , the entire team played bad in every game we lost but timely saves from a goalie can turn things around . Is Marky capable of stealing a game for us ?

  6. I like Casey, however coming from a college schedule straight to a Devils schedule that’s been anything but easy is a big adjustment. He def has a future with the club. But will def be sent down to the AHL.
