Can't be too upset at how the Leafs played. Kind of obvious but Shesterkin and weak PP (again) was the difference.
Refusing to shoot on a 3 on 1, while allowing the Rangers to set up and generate shots EVERY TIME they cross your blue line?

Got to score on that power play. Tight game and you get that opportunity gotta capitalize. It was a good game but need to find a way to score in these tight games.
Gotta score. A dirty goal. Anything. Find a way boys. In big games, you have to prove yourselves. When you're facing the best, you have to be better.
Too many passengers time to put some guys in the press box give other guys a chance. Too many giveaways against good teams the leafs make too many mistakes.

Tavares and Rielly need to go for the Leafs to win. Minten and Topi Niemla need to start to play and get experience.

OEL gives a great interview. None of the platitudes that most of the other players seem to give. Also nice to hear Berube's short answers rather than Keefe's five minute nothing responses to every question.

I am not sure why there are soo many terrible comments. The leafs are far more relentless this year. Let's see what the next meeting will be like…Berube has definitely made a difference in playing style…Last year the score would have been lopsided. We had way more looks that should have gone in. If you watch Morgan Rielly closely, you notice that a lot of plays die on his stick. He doesn't shoot the puck with direction or purpose. He just lofts pucks at the net, and 99% of the time it hits an opponents skate or leg and the play is turned over.
2-1 game difference was our PP needed a goal
Lol 40 mil to 4 guys and you can’t come through in big games. Power play has been abysmal and needs to urgently get fixed or we can expect another first round exit.

the problem with PP1 is we have like one shooting threat, Matthew’s on the left dot, Marners a good puck mover but not a shooting threat, Willy’s shots go wide and boomerang along the end boards and out of the zone, Tampas PP was so successful because they had two one timer options on both dots, point in the bumper shooting threat and Hedman could deliver a bomb from the point
