Les points forts de l’équipe étaient Elias Pettersson, Tyler Myers et Kevin Lankinen qui était une bête absolue. 1. Finally ! Deaner is here.
11:30 pm here in Japan and a good way to end the evening. Thanks for the great summary of the game and commentary. Keep it coming eh

  2. Let's hope they can keep this momentum going. People often forget that history doesn't remember the little loss streaks when you win a cup 😁

  3. Lankinen was an absolute stud! Still hoping Demko will be back & healthy soon, but I have no worries about letting Lankinen take charge as our leading goalie. I love Silovs, but I think he definitely needs just a little bit more experience to truly shine on the NHL level. Looking forward to his future.

It was absolutely great to see Petey get back up to speed a little bit as well. I absolutely know how hard it is to perform under pressure, which makes me all the more sympathetic when thinking about someone like him with such a huge contract hanging over his head. Hopefully we'll see him return to his original form sooner rather than later!

Congrats Tyler for your 1000th game! I remember being lucky enough to attend Trevor Linden's 1000th game all those years ago, and it truly is a testament to his hard work that he's been able to have such a great career in the NHL.

Love our boys, looking forward to the rest of the season!

  4. Agreed, Petey looked great, he'll get back to full form soon enough. One hell of a game by the boys. Lankinen is a beast.

  5. no this win was not good at all
vs a team like flyers canucks shoulda won that 1st game that was disgraceful
flyers had too many open chances but was just unlucky
canucks D needs to play better
getting rid of Z really hurting canucks now he woulda signed for 4.6 x 5 but Patrik Allvin has brain damage and would not give him anything more than 4.6 x 4
canucks will be a top 10 team this year but without depth in D its gonna be hard to go far

  6. Silovs was in a groove last year in the playoffs so it was a bit unfair to expect him to be the same as he was in the playoffs. Great to see Lankinen be a pressure relief valve that this team desperately needs right now in Demkos absence. Ill say this about Myers. Hes a guy who you wished used his size to his advantage more. Good offensive vision for breakout passes and pinching in the o zone. If he manages his defensive lapses hes valuable to the team.

  7. I think Toccet has convinced Petey that you don't need to score 65 goals like Mathews to be a number 1 center…..there is another way to play, like Barkov. 25 to 30 goals 80 to 90 points and really responsible 2 way center.

  8. Great game Nucks, & bro I agree we are on the rite track for success. Only a matter of time, something in EP40 will snap & boom he will be finding the back of the net again. I keep my faith in petey🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Great goals hogy, boeser & Sherwood ‼️‼️‼️& absolutely great job goalkeeper lankinen 🙌🏽‼️🙌🏽

  9. i agree with you saying they are back on track. even if they lost the game to florida, which im glad they didnt, they played much better hockey the last 2 games.

  10. 2:48 Facts are facts: Lankinen is an NHL goalie. He may not be a star goalie, but he's a solid goaltender and doesn't give his team a reason to panic. Silovs just needs more time to bake. Demko wasn't a golden boy right out of the gates neither, so…

  11. Last night, defensively, Petey had his head up and was on the ball that game. Made good plays and I feel the team, overall was looking buttoned up and showing some of that playoff form

  12. That Garland/Hogy/Petey line is looking so good right now. I'm also quite impressed with the Bluegy/Sherwood/Heinen line

  13. I think the hard thing about accepting that Lankinen needs to be the starter until Demko is back is that the fans absolutely love Arty. What he did in the playoffs is so respectable. Called up at 23 with 9 NHL games of experience as the backup backup goalie in the playoffs. Records a shutout in game 6 against Nashville. Played his heart out, and at times was better than Skinner in the Edmonton series. In game 7 it was his name that was chanted in the arena when the Canucks lost, and he looked absolutely devastated in the handshake line.

It's the reason I heard so many people say we could easily get rid of Demmer and use Silovs. I don't think they are saying that now.
He was so solid in the playoffs it's actually kind of painful to see him play average. Of course two games isn't enough to cast him off at all, he will probably play against Chicago and hopefully he'll get his swing back as the rest of the Canucks have so far.

Regardless, I am so, so, so happy that Lankinen is on the team… and that the goalies they would be left with before Demko returns aren't Arty and Patera.

  14. Pettersson looked good one thing I did notice though was he is skating very carefully like he is still dealing with injury

  15. Great performances from everybody! Chaos Giraffe, Lankinen and HoOoOoOglaaaaAAAndeeeeeeEEEER the three stars for me.
Let's hope this really is the turnaround we all expect it to be.

  16. Always had a funny feeling that debrusk would end up with miller and boeser. Nothing wrong there.

Have been waiting since we signed garland to see him with pettersson regularly. – Yes him and Hoglander are small line mates but they’re absolute puck hounds and both good around the net (pettersson still gets easily bullied off the puck) – they simply need to get pettersson the puck and get open.

hopefully they keep that line together for a few games to actually see what they can do. Pettersson absolutely feeding Hoglander and Garland? Why not

  17. Petey looked a whole lot better. His points will come. especially if he can keep the same linemates for a good stretch.
Lankinen was a solid pick up. A 1B for sure.
    Brannstrom looked really good too.

  18. Great win…loved watching Flyers getting booed on home ice. Lankinen needs to be our 1st stringer but JT got injured so thats disconcerting.

  19. Lankinen is a great goalie and I think silovs needs a month or two once demko gets back in the ahl to work on his puck tracking. People forget silovs is 20 years old. Most goalies get good at 24. He has time
