The boys were decent.Certainly, goal tending and the PK isn't the issue 😊
Leafs scored their goal because Knies was battling in front of the net. They need more of that on the powerplay.
Kampf and Lorentz should be playing way more. Not just special teams. They're horses. I really hope Berube doesn't replicate Keefe's mistakes by not playing his bench. It's a long season. Play your bench. Challenge all your players by playing them.
I totally agree with Mike. They try to be perfect. There are too many pretty passes, and there are no bodies in front of the net. They're still too cute and nice for their own good.

I think Treliving had a terrible offseason. Zadorov went to Boston for 5 million. Trenin signed elsewhere for 3.5 million. Instead, he signs older players who are a blocked shot away from ending their careers – Ekman Larsson, Hakanpaa, Pacioretty, Tanev. Add the fact that he did not move on from Jarnkrok and Reaves, plus young players like Liljegren and Robertson, who have failed to make it – what a disaster. The team is older, slower, more injury prone.
Knies has yet to develop his hands. Maybe they should try McMann on the first line who seems to have better hands and has showed some moxie. Mike is are providing a realistic analysis.

It’s definitely not a one man band … Reaves should be waved to the Marlies. Recalled periodically for “ tough guy showdown “ put our skill forwards in the lineup. Power play needs one game of OEL blasting the net with Knies and Lorentz in front. Matthews and Nylander shooting from the angles
The Leafs got Goalied he says…OMG…This is the SAME Leaf team that FAILS year after year…They keep the core 4 or 5 if you are including Reilly, bring in a couple of players way past their prime, shuffle around the rest with Journeymen players and then expect a different Result…This Augello dude is either on the Laff's Payroll or doesn't know jack about Hockey…

Get rid of Reeves and trade for a big tough forward that isn't a pile on.

Reeves serves as that guy that can be used to negate the other team's enforcer letting the other players not have to engage and play their game. A 4th line player shuold'nt be the downfall of your team if its structured correctly.

Trade has to be coming down soon Morgan Rielly sucks as he creates nothing offensively gives the puck up and was the the one to blame on the Cris Kreider tip goal as he did not take out Kreider and was caught up covering nobody in no man’s land 6 feet between the slot and Kreider picking his ass. I would rather have Reeves in banging and playing hard and please trade Rielly as he is not a 1 2 d man he is a 3 4

I know Mike from Buffalo who used to to call in on 590 Storman Norman show, who is a die hard leaf fan, but I disagree 💯% on 44 he has to goooo! Marner too, Morgan first!
