I feel like the moment Hyman and Nuge score at least 1, everything will start to fall in place on the PP. The PK will take a few more months, I think. It's always hard to get guys to dig in deep on PK early on in the season.

The Canes aren’t exactly cup favorites anymore right now they’re likely entering a retooling. A bunch of prospects are going to finally get their shot and be able to make that big step in development that Canes prospects for many years now almost never got. There’s weakness in Orlov and Burns but thankfully their contracts are up after this season and young promising players like Nikishin and Morrow will likely make that step and they have other really promising defensemen prospects like Montgomery. Then there’s the forward prospects with some very promising young players in the system.
The Oilers right now are in cup or bust mode and are seen as the cup favorites. I wouldn’t underestimate the Oilers. The Canes aren’t as good as they’ve been the past few years but that’s understandable when you take into account that they are now trying to graduate prospects to the NHL. These are teams in very different situations.
