Trade Karlsson for a shut down defenseman
You need to call it like it is, Karlsson stinks defensively, he always has! The Penguins got ripped off with the move they made because they’re on the hook for almost $11 million per for a guy who couldn’t play defense if somebody put a gun to his head. It’s ridiculous that the media keeps given this guy props for lousy play!
Not only have our top three defensemen been horrible (including Pettersson in the mix), but they've been the reasons why we lose.
You can juggle our lines all you want, but it doesn't mask how much time they're on the ice, which means our Power Play will constantly be an advantage for the other team, which means we'll still be stupid in our own end, and the turnover advantage will go to the other team overwhelmingly. Igor would have a GAA of 4.0 on this team and he'd be taking the next flight to mother Russia.
That loss to Calary last night was so damn frustrating. This team would be much better if only Letang were given a two week vacation.
We would be winning much more than losing if we were able to get rid of two of these guys. If we can eventually rotate stock and get rid of all three, that would be fantastic. I love Letang as a person and I thank him for his service but he's killing our team. And his icings with the empty net at the end was ridiculous.
My recommendation: When there's a penalty and we're about to go on the power play, decline the penalty! Or at the very list, retaliate and smack someone with a stick so we can get it to 4 on 4. Can't give up shorthanded goals if we're never on the PP!

Every Goal against and Letang is on the ice getting burned .
So here's a great thought ., lets go out next off season and load up on more forwards like they did last season . Every year it's the same thing . More big money on Forwards and Goaltenders and forget the D . Then you end up with a team who is waiting for the others to do all of the work . They are all very lazy and sloppy .

Crosby regression is setting in this season. Gonna be 3 straight seasons with no playoffs. Rebuild should have started ages ago.
Sid looks pretty bad also…. so many blind passes and turn overs…
