  1. Defensive play matters.

When you're up against a good goalie you have to make sure you play responsible defensive. Every single players on your team.

Toronto has a puck watching culture within the team. In their own end they are constantly puck watching. As a result they constantly give their opponents high quality scoring chances against themselves because their players aren't thinking about where is the puck going … they are thinking about where is the puck now.

In the playoffs we constantly see Toronto's fundamental defensive problems get exposed by other teams when it matters the most … because those teams survival depends on studying their opponents carefully and being able to generate high quality scoring chances by taking advantage of the Leaf's defensive tendencies to score key goals.

  2. Longest cup drought in the history of the NHL. But yet every year they dial it back. Answer seems pretty simple to everyone else who knows anything about hockey. Leafs and leaf fans are delusional 🙄

  3. So much has gone wrong that I see really the only solution bringing in current and former military drill sergeants to set up a makeshift bootcamp after a Friday Eastern Daylight Time bag skate.

  4. TSN is a lot better after the Maple Leafs lose. Whenever the Maple Leafs win, it is like TSN starts planning the Stanley Cup parade which is sickening. Much better to watch them get sad when Toronto loses.

  5. Auston Matthews doesn't care what Craig Berube has to say. Notice how Auston didn't even make eye-contact with Berube on the bench? Auston knows he is getting his salary no matter how sloppy he plays so he doesn't care.

  6. that is the leafs response. the gave the captaincy to one of the laziest players on the team and who is as boring as tavares. meanwhile they dont change the pp or finally take marner away from matthews. lol. just leafs being the leafs

  7. Results oriented, paid boomers gives their very bad takes on the toronto maple laughs. Great content

  8. Natural leaders make great captains.
Morgan should be wearing the C.
He would thrive with it, but it's too late now.
The leafs hand cuffed themselves with a soft spoken captain.

  9. Berube should stop complaining and he should create the winning plan. These players will know what to do, if the coach knows what to do.

  10. The coaching wasn't the problem to begin with. O'keefe had a great record. They just couldn't pull it together when playoffs come. Too much focus on core 4. Take them out of the game, and they collapse.

  11. They'll probably fire Berube in 20 games and hire Jay Woodcroft, foiling the plans of Stan Bowman in Edmonton of firing Kris Knoblauch to bring back Jay Woodcroft.

  12. This is no surprise. The core of this team does not have it in them to bring a response. They are soft. How long does this need to go on until something is finally done? Start it off….please…..by letting Tavares and Marner walk. Just let them walk when they can. There will be instant addition by subtraction. Are they good hockey players….of course they are. But they DO NOT HAVE THE INNER FIRE to win. They don't. They have shown who they are. The Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup when they made the Matthew Tchackuk trade. They brought in a guy who will do absolutely anything to win and I'll bet wouldn't hesitate to grab a teammate who was underperforming by the throat in the dressing room. This failure is over. It's not Berube's fault…..he is not a heart surgeon.

  13. Easy. You assigned a creampuff of a captain, to lead the team. Tavares wasn't exactly Hercules or anything, but he was at least, captain material.

You gave your team to a crybaby, who's only contribution to anything, is scoring goals. He has no fight in him, no grit, no toughness, no leadership, and you wonder why this team is still in the dumpster.

    Astonishing.

  14. Apart from this game, Mcabe gets all these high praises. I just don't see it. I see him make more WTF were you thinking plays with the puck, the wow great play. Seriously is IQfor the game is questionable. He is better suited as a number 5 or 6 guy
