1. they are going to run swayman into the ground. boy do they look bad. endless stupid penalties and horrible special teams. very bad passing. they keep dusting off pucks instead of just whacking it at the net. thats how shit goes in.

  2. The bruins problems are far too many to list right now. And the whole "lots of new faces" excuse doesn't work anymore. Penalty trouble and turnovers are the most glaring issues (along with both special teams), but you also have lots of guys just flat-out not performing. Coyle, Geekie, Marchand, Brazeau are all off to terrible starts. I'd also even loop Zacha in the bunch. Marchand is definitely starting to show his age, and his recovery timeline from the 3 offseason surgeries are definitely playing a role. While I agree that Monty changing the lines almost every period over the last 9 games doesn't help; I think we are finally at a point where the undeniably poor drafting from Sweeney, and his willingness to trade first round draft picks is finally taking it's toll. Boston has been graded as having the worst prospect pool for at least the 4th year in a row; and if you are going to trade a Vezina winning goaltender (especially to a division rival) the draft pick you get back needs to be higher than mid 20's. The likelihood of that prospect actually hitting is less than 10%.

Lastly, I'll say the "leadership" of this team is completely gone. The Bergeron/Chara leadership and willingness to take significantly below market value in order to field a competitive team are gone. Sure, McAvoy and Pasta probably took less than market value, but not nearly to the degree Bergy and Chara did. And then the Swayman contract just proved that most players on the team now are out for themselves. As long as they get paid, they don't care if the team is good; and Bergy was never about that. Each passing year since he retired, the culture of the team is changing for the worse.

  3. I needed that Jamie Benn laugh this morning… Pasta needs to be a healthy scratch for a game just to send a message he’s taking so many stupid penalties.

  4. Well said can't disagree with anything you've said here. I couldn't watch last night because it was gf's bday and I was watching the app occasionally and seeing the PPG against just told me it was just more of the same undisciplined play.

  5. Monty isn’t the problem it’s the players , they aren’t good enough , you can coach them all you want but how they actually perform is down to them

  6. what offensive game???the bruins are finally seeing that offense is the most important-not defense!also, the lines are bogus.it's time to bring up beecher to at least the 3rd line because of his play&speed and demote geekie to the 4th line.i'm sure they're regretting ever trading tyler seguin.there's your no. 1 center.hated that trade and could have drafted sniper jason robertson who i knew about and would have drafted but with the 18th pick they took yet another defenseman.you could have traded down and gotten another high pick too but the management has no brains.i'm a bruins fan and am shocked and hope they don't make the playoffs and draft a scorer and sweeney won't be able to trade our future away.oh and brazeau should be on the 2nd line!-i like your channel a lot!!!keep up the good work!

  7. Too early to panic and firing Montgomery isn’t going to turn this around. Salary spent on Zadarov wouldn’t been better spent on offense. The salaries invested in just McAvoy, Libndholm, Zadarov and Carlo are too heavy. I think Sweeney might want a mulligan going back to July.

  8. I think some of the "star" players need to sit out a game. put McAvovy, Pasta, Zadorov in the press box for a game and maybe that will light a fire under them.
I see every game McAvovy is just a turn over machine, or he goes for these big bent over hip checks at the totally wrong time. He tries to play like he is Bobby Orr but just turns over the puck.
Pasta 2 goals 6 penalities in 5 games is just bad there is no other words. He is the "star" of the team but refuses to back check, gets caught playing lazy almost every game. His goals have not been anything pretty at all, most have been accidents, when he does get a open chance he doesnt finish.

  9. on a different note, what brand hat and shirt is marchand wearing? never seen that logo before

  10. Again, this isn't about Monty, its about player performance on the ice. We're seeing a team that simply doesn't have the skill or grit to compete successfully. They're big, but play small .. and they are slow. Swiss Cheese Swayman is showing why he doesn't deserve an elite Goalie's salary. There were some very stoppable goals last night. He looked terrible.

  11. I think you hit it directly on the head. There’s no “chemistry” on these lines (except the 4th line). If Montgomery constantly changes the lines throughout the game you're not going to get the chemistry needed. Other than a few new additions, these guys have played together and succeeded. I cant figure it out. At least Zadorov didn't have a penalty. Marchand isn't the player he was a few years ago. He's still a solid player but, i wonder if "time" is catching up with him? he is 36.

  12. Try being a fan of last place Leafs. Berube and all his bluster has hired new assistants and Leafs are near the bottom with the PK and PP. Should be a fun game on Saturday, Leafs and Bruiins. Battle of the "Booby Bowl"

  13. this isn’t monty’s fault because he keeps TRYING and doing his job the way he has the last two years. it’s on the players 100%

  14. It's not really Monty's fault he was given a team of very large players who are very slow and because there's been turnovers the slow players are not capable of getting back to defend and they just end up running around like chickens with their heads cut off this is more on Sweeney and Neely. Great they have a huge team that is built for the playoffs. But they are too slow to win games in the regular season to even get to the playoffs
