Need to really mix up the lines. Try something totally new. They can put together 4 lines that can score and be defensively responsible. JT can no longer drive a line even on the 3rd line.
Seems nobody has to answer to anybody. Coach yells just hide under the bench like a dog under a bed in a thunderstorm.
Ahhh i love the growing pains of having a new coach. It sucks tearing the system down completely and rebuilding it up since teams tend to lose alot. But in the end it'll be worth it. They need this, keefes neglect in giving them any tough love, or willingness to revert from his own systems is having some consequences. Time to atone. Give it 40ish games. They'll be a bit more consistent.
Change the whole team and bring in hard players with heart. No privileged players . Team players.

There’s no doubt this Leaf team is far from serious, and it may very well be these Leafs are destined to finish more this regular season like last season’s Raptors (25-57 win-loss record, including three OT losses). This Leaf roster, like that Raptors one was, is badly broken. It’s not too early to say that perhaps this season, simply because the Leafs come nowhere close to qualifying for a playoff spot, will be one during which the Leafs are forced into their first rebuild following the 2016 NHL entry draft during which they had selected AM34 at first overall.
We now see Stolarz was the difference this season….not the forwards..they are the same. This is perfect…. the real issues of the team come to the surface at the start of the season. Now Berube has 50 games to sort this out before they go into the final stretch before the playoffs.
Five days ago I thought this team could make the eastern finals and today I can’t see them making the playoffs
While AM & MM were -6, they weren't just on the ice for 6 goals by the other team as they were also on the ice during PK goals.

Unfortunately for Craig and, we fans, this team’s forward core are not ‘play killing’ personnel. They just aren’t wired for direct ‘in your face’ ‘shut down’ play. I like a lot of what Tre has done including hiring Berube, love it, BUT, they should have made some changes to that core. Don’t you think Babcock, Keefe, and all coaching staff tried to accomplish this with this forward group? It’s the one change they’ve refused to make, and it is where the rubber hits the ice.
I can't understand why you pundits are so hung up on what the players say after the game. It really doesn't matter what they say, it's just word salad with different flavours of dressing. The Leafs have had some good coaches over the years, but none of them could get it done..instead of firing the coach first chance they get, maybe start evaluating the guys making 11 mil per season who are actually supposed to go out there and play the game….Mitchy Boy needs to go. Let him win a cup somewhere else, who cares at this point?! You can NOT give him a dime more than Nylander..and even that's too much..the kid was getting booed by his own fans FFS 🤦
