  1. It's strange at this point, but we may want Keefe to return. That way, we can at least make the playoffs. This Leafs squad looks like at most, a .500 team. This way, we can be disappointed later, rather than now. This team looks like a non-playoff team. lol

  2. Do u guys ever think this will take a little bit to get going…they are a different looking team this year no doubt about it…isnt this what you want?

  3. Signing a 34 year old injury-prone Chris Tanev to a 6 year contract is a move that will soon be greatly regretted. ✔️

  4. I like to hear that about practice today, get that grit back in like the old days of Dougie, Clark, Domi and Baumgarnder!!! Go Leafs Go!!!!

  5. Too busy thinking about how to spend their money & reading & listening to how great they are," don't tell me show me"!!! Just too soft & lack of drive & motivation.

  6. Leafs want to make pretty passing rather than carrying the puck and Marner is the main problem as a leader on the team. He should have been dealt in the summer. Even better, the previous summer.

  7. They have to generate more shots from the point on the pp. Screen their goalie, create some havoc in front of the net, bang in some rebounds, before they can set up for a shot on the half wall. Every team in the league knows they are trying to set up for a shot from the side.

  8. Berube is done ✅ completely OVERRATED – and will be fired at the 3/4 mark

He’s already yelled pathetically 2x over meaningless 💩

    it’s game 9 – he’s lost the team

  9. Being a Leafs fan is always 'fun'.
I don't mind them losing games and often get annoyed when people lose their minds about totally understandable and 'normal' losses, that's part of sports after all… But why do they have to lose in such a pathetic way so often?
Like, just try, or at least pretend to try… That's not too much to ask…

  10. its the structure on the pp. all on the perimeter? OV scored from one spot from the beginning of time. Matthews did the same in the past. yet they changed to this wide perimeter shots from the point. that doesn't work. they need to pass fast. the puck shouldn't be on the stick longer than a second.

  11. Two PP issues, no cannon from the point, no net front presence, without those it will be difficult to have a lot of success playing from the perimeter. Just my opinion.

  12. Sometimes when a team is used to a certain level of physicality and a new coach comes in who pushes the work ethic and drives up the stamina training a team can wear down suddenly. It takes time to adjust the body in this situation, but I'm not panicking and never will, I honor and adore my toxic masculinity far too much for any sissy panic!

    They'll be fine!
The power play sucks because they're giving the "enemy" too much time to cover and block looking for those "elite" level tic tac toe plays and not enough tic TAC EFFIN TOE!

They have got to get bodies in front and bang in some junk if only to boost their confadence!!

But, as I've previously stated, this team is far better than they're playing right now, and they will come through!

On another note, the coaches at children and junior levels have got to stop pushing the non aggressive European game and get back to training some Clark, Gilmour types again!

    Jack ~'()'~

  13. @steadyAF The core four are the team, and they are uncoachable. All they want to do is make pretty plays and refuse to grind in the corner

  14. They need more grinders who aren't afraid to get in front of the opposing team's goalie and get the dirty goals. Get rid of perimeter shooters, because they are useless in the playoffs. Any goalie who can see a puck is going to stop it.

  15. I've been saying this since last season, that the PP needs to be rebuilt, its not working by loading PP1 time to make them more balanced and its also time to break up the top 2 lines as those aren't working either. This team is lazy and disconnected and this needs to change. With so much fire power on this team and not being able to score, something needs to change! Hold them all accountable and do it fast before this really gets out of control. Fans deserve better but we are constantly being ignored! As much as hate how the fans act towards this team at times, i also understand the anger and frustration! '67 was a long time ago and its time this team does whatever it takes to win again this fanbase deserves better!

  16. every team in the NHL knows what the Leaf's are going to do before the Leaf's now themselves. They need to start shooting from the point and get in front of the net and get rebounds. The goalie can not stop a puck if they can not see it, if they do they will not be able to control the rebound. But they don't do that they just pass, pass, pass…. It is the same dame thing year after year!! BENCH THE STARS, they will figure out there shit really quick and if they don't, they don't want to be here, they are just here because Toronto will pay an outrageous price.

  17. “In theory . . . On paper . . . “.
This team is so hard to change. But it has to change. Marner for picks at the deadline.

  18. The Leafs will waste prime Matthews years. He will eventually leave after his current contract for a team that can actually win. Enjoy the mediocrity while it lasts. There will be even more pain when we start to "rebuild"…..again…..

  19. It's going to take half the season or a full season for change to take hold… it'll really happen after the JT and Marner contracts are sorted out and new people are brought in…. Marner needs to go and JT less than 3m a year… Marner is a very skilled player but he's so light, he ends up getting pushed around when the game gets tight….

  20. Give him time. He will get it together. I have no doubt about that and he's a lot better and the other coach. Have a nice game tomorrow boys❤

  21. @trainfire2008, you mean the guy Burke traded away the future for. The same guy who won stanley Cups sitting in the press box. Is that the same guy you're talking about.😂😂
