@Jets de Winnipeg

1. As a Jets fan in Winnipeg I think most would agree yeah the Kadri slash was a soft call, but my counterpoint is always that there were other non-called infractions both before and after it, the dueling 5on3 PKs for both teams was electric. It was a great game to watch but an absolutely flukey one for the tendies. Comrie and Wolf both had 2 awkward goals go in, with the first goals happening on their first shots against a piece.

I’m really hoping we can hit 9 at least and take it at home against Toronto but after last nights debacle they’re going to be hungry for 2 points, and home games against the Leafs are always tough for the Jets so it could go either way. If we make it passed em I’m really hoping we can make some real history, this team has earned it.

  2. Oilers fans know that the stare down is probably the scariest thing they will have to experience when playing the Flames. They've gotten stomped on year, after year. The thing they're best at right now is falling short.

  3. To be fair the Jets were extremely lucky to win that one! Have you seen their goals??? Lol
Everything is going their way right now. But this is not sustainable for long.

  4. This stare down thing makes me laugh. You haven’t won anything yet and you’re starring down a fan? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  5. Teams have winning streaks. Teams have losing streaks.
    Its a long season.
Edmonton started like 💩 last year and made the final.
    St.Louis' 'Gloria' run..
No sense getting too shook over something we've seen over and over.

  6. Dustin Wolf is from my South Silicon Valley hometown. I grew up going to see the Flames in San Jose. The odds of him winding up on the Flames after being drafted so late…and just killing it in any league ending with an L….its awesome for a fan. Couldn’t be happier with the Flames. This was a great summary that forecasts the future dismay of Jets fans, Rasmus being a goofball and the slashing penalty being real-adjacent but contextually stupid.

All of this success and recent ‘respectable’ close defeats…..it’s all been without Yegor. Yegor is back. And Yegor good,

  7. As a Jets fan, I’m pretty sure we’re all holding our breath, waiting to see how much the team can keep this going. We’d honestly much rather this was in playoffs than the start of the season. But it is so fun to watch right now!!

  8. That Flames player Zayer(?) getting his tooth knocked out was totally hockey. Stands up, toothless, bloody grin, goes back to the bench for his next shift.

  9. 1:26 "on the road against one of your biggest rivals" hey man I don't think theres been a rivalry between these teams in like 10 years.

  10. despite two regulation losses in a row, the hockey guy (check him out, even though hes a canucks fan) moved the flames up in his power rankings. sure they lost but they showed that they can hang in against some of the best clubs.

To my mind, in both they played very sloppy. a lot of missed passes, far FAR too much over-passing, and not enough quality shots. But the refs shafted the Flames in last nights game. No call in the first on that high-stick, and then that ridiculous slashing call in the third. Flames had all the momentum after killing off 90 seconds of 5 v 3, and the refs just ripped that out from under them.

  11. Definitely not a “soft” 2 handed slash to the stick right between the hands, also was the third time Kadri two handed a slash behind the jets net in the game.

  12. To be fair, there was 2 soft penalty calls on jets. That 2 handed slash on pionks hands was a pretty clear penalty

  13. I am enjoying watching the flames this season. I hope we stick with the rebuild. And keep giving these young guys a chance. I would rather watch young, hard-working kids trying to make their break into the nhl and lose than watching over paid players or old guys come here to just retire and lose.

  14. Jets have had these streaks during the middle of the year, but it’s good not starting the season in a hole.
