@Ducks d'Anaheim

I just have to wonder if Ducks scored like that would it count. If that wasn't "distinct kicking motion" i don't know what is

  2. Oh buddy, the number of times that has happened to us (the Rangers) with the kicking motion is nuts

No one knows what a kick is

Also his name is Will Cuylle (Cool-ie)

  3. To be honest after that Gudas hit, I think I saw the best hockey from the ducks including this and last season. The second period was all Ducks and they actually looked competitive throughout the last 40 min against a really good team. I hope they think of this loss as a stepping stone on how to further develop and the coaching staff doesn't just yell at them and ruin the fun like some say they do for this one. They deserve a pat on the back for how most of them played.

  4. If it's not LA Ducks, then we are Philadelphia Ducks…now😂 This is why the Eggplant colors were always top tier. Bless those horrible refs😂

  5. Best game of the year for the Ducks. Zellweger has been a revelation these past few games, he needs to stay up. Not the result they wanted, but against lesser teams that effort will earn you a lot of Ws.

  6. So maybe the Ducks won't be targeted for so many penalties this year because refs are subconsciously thinking the Flyers are playing? If so, best uniform rebrand ever!

  7. Now we need to keep that tough physical game going and keep kicking a*s… A really good game against a very good team, and now another test again the Devils who are projecting to be a top team this year as long as they can stay healthy. The line combinations are better and really need a player to piss off other teams into taking penalties. Like a Corey Perry but much more physical. Let the other teams take the penalty and keep working on that power play that I thought looked better. When my team plays physical we all get pumped and I saw that with the Ducks in this game. Still like to see Zegras, Carlson and Troy on the same line. Great post!

  8. Distinct kicking motion is pulling foot back, swinging it forward into puck directly into the net. Diehard Ducks fan and I was fine w the call, he moved foot into position to deflect as I saw it. Cosplay as the Flyers, you're gonna get called Philly once in awhile lol. Great 2nd n 3rd period, bring it 60 minutes a game and we'll start making moves forward finally. Go Ducks

  9. When Kilorn went into the boards I was hoping he stayed down. He just looks awful. He should be benched for todays game.

  10. I'm a fan of your reviews, but I disagree with your rule interpretation. That was a kicking motion to get the foot in position to deflect the puck. It didn't look to me like it was kicking the puck in the net. His foot traveled in the direction of his skate blade and never went into a sideways motion to kick.

  11. the kicking rule only applies to the ducks all other teams can play soccer and not to sure about the captain but i like and think the ducks need his ability to hit big in the game and hope he can teach his skills to all the ducks

  12. We have crazy cap space can we just bail on the killer contract and take the hit? I don’t see how we can get him to produce. He’s taking spots on lines id rather see other players be in

  13. Yeah, that was a kicking motion, maybe the puck grazed his stick but the last contact was his skate, that kicked forward… weird call.

Also I must say that Killorn is a huge liability for the Ducks. It's almost every game where he botches something. Crucial giveaway, bad pass, not skating, failing on a clear goal opportunity… u name it. I liked him on Tampa but with the Ducks, the dude looks like a typical paycheck stealer veteran who is there to retire in peace.

Also poor Dosty, so many good performances, yet almost no wins, I hope it doesn't mess him up.

  14. I think the kicking goal counted because the contact could have been made with the stick blade, not the skate. I still don’t know how they ended up 4 on 4 when both guys dropped gloves.

  15. this has been a problem in the NHL for years. You have NO idea what a kicked in goal is these days. This has happend like 6 times to the rangers in the last few years.

  16. A good game for the Ducks against a team that averages 4.5 goals a game. The 18 shots on net 1st period just can’t happen. Dostal was a wall as usual. We seem to get better as the game went on. No stupid penalties. Love McTavish standing up for his teammate on the boarding but he needs to be smart. No harm on the hit. Just take the power play and refrain from the retaliation. The power play looked good for once. Quick made some great saves otherwise this game would have been tied. Hope we build on this one against NJ. Go Ducks.

  17. i cant bring myself to feel bad for people who get hit in the face when they choise to wear their visor so it covers literally nothing

  18. Fowler is worthless. His lack of physicality makes him a push over. It’s why our goalies are forced to make so many saves. It’s why Fowler has the worst +/- for the past 4 years. Just cut back his ice time please and trade him as fast as possible. He is weak and a liability.

  19. The kicking motion rule really needs to be changed to something more objective. Maybe something like “If the skate remains on the ice, it is a goal; otherwise it is a kick and no goal”

Which that would probably be fine as I assume that rule is in for safety reasons, but at the same time we would then have reviews for if a skate was a millimeter off the ice as we did before the offsides rules were changed

  20. during the 2nd period just before they scored… it was 0-0…i said to myself. this must be one of the most entertaining 0-0 game i've watched in recent memory. too bad we couldnt get any point out of this effort.
