Double header, but it’ll be 2 different squads for each team

Is there something wrong with that ?

Oilers-Flames, Oilers-Canucks, and Flames-Canucks do this every pre season also. They’ll play in off site games too like Penticton, Banff, Red Deer, and other small towns in Alberta and BC.

We Will be at that Coyotes/ Blues game!!

  5. happens every year in pre season, they do split squad games and have a mix of roster players and prospects in each game. helps to get looks at more players than if they didnt do this

Extra games for tryouts as well as extra tickets to sell.

Yup. If it’s early in the preseason, it’ll be a jumble of players, usually the bare minimum of NHL vets they have to put on, and a coach’s handshake agreement that it’ll be mostly ECHL players for the first, and ahl players the next. The star line will probably be a test of the 3rd or 4th NHL line.

If it’s later in the preseason, it’ll be who they want for AHL, and who they want for NHL. Those tend to be home and home games rather than doubleheaders though.

About as low effort of a post as I’ve ever seen
