Between the travel and the game, my first trip to Traverse city has been a little rough. But fishing today has gone pretty well! Maybe things are on the upward trend for Saturday and Sundays games, as well as the flight back

Saw a bit of the first game in the prospects tourney last night. Keeping in mind that this has absolutely nothing to do with the full team or season and the kids aren’t about to go all out. It honestly looks like a pickup game where most were relying on individual talent and occasionally making a play with one another or capitalizing on a breakdown or mistake. It seemed like a constant juggling of lines and pairings which was interesting. I was interested to see Gavin White pair defensively with Grushnikov because that is what was ran last year in Hamilton (i believe). White definitely tried to carry the puck far longer than he probably should have been. But Grushnikov looked responsible and very safe. He definitely seems bigger than previously billed too. I’ll be interested in seeing his height/weight during training camp in two weeks.
Elsewhere, I’ll be headed to Quebec City and I’m super pumped. I’ll try to take in a Shawinigan Cataractes game; I’m really hoping to see Bourque play. It looks like such a beautiful city.
