  1. Looking forward to his career as a hockey commentator.

What an electric defenceman he was for us. I’m glad we got Weber but I missed watching him in Habs colours. Enjoy retirement Subbinator!

  3. FakeCrash

I am ready to see that Marchand hit a hundred more times.

One of the most electrifying players (if not the most?) of the last 10 years. His legacy will live on.

  4. KeepUpTheFPS

Farewell Pernel Karl, I bet hell join either sportsnet or TNT.

  5. Eversharpe

Has to be one of the biggest « What ifs » greats cut down before their time by injury.

I loved watching him played. He could take the Bell Centre from sleepy to a roar with one rush!

remember leaving and fans chanting his name is the stairwells and on the street…few have had that kind of love while I have been watching.

hated the stuff he always put up with – no hockey sense, but an athletic body – type stuff. He wasn’t a perfect player, but damn if he didn’t leave it out there and do his best to drag us go the goal.

Damn, i’m shocked he couldn’t land a gig as a depth defenseman somewhere in the league.

Legend. One of the proudest player to ever worn the CH. I wish he could have retired a Hab.

Crazy to think Price and Subban are basically retired now…I’m 27 and these 2 were my first favourite players.

I really enjoyed Subban’s time in Montreal and was pretty torn when he was traded for Weber.

I always liked Weber and was happy to have Man Mountain on our team, but Subban was so fun to watch and his relationship with Price was super fun to see on the ice.

The last couple years I feel like we won that trade. Weber will have marks on this core for years, Suzuki being able to reach out to Weber about what it is to be a Captain would have never happened if Weber didn’t come here.

Even still, I missed Subban playing for us even if he hasn’t been the same player the last few seasons..

Subban played his best hockey here and I’m glad I got to enjoy it!

Triple low five for life boys!
    Best of luck Subby!

I grew up idolizing PK and Carey. I knew it was coming, but the fact that neither of them will be playing in the NHL is so sad.

  15. zombiejeesus

Enjoy the retirement pk. I love Weber but I’ll always miss pk in a Habs sweater.

  16. heavie1

You can dislike the player but you can’t deny the amazing human being he is.
