In general, I hate the introduction of jersey ads.
However, as a card collector, I hold out small hopes that someone at Upper Deck is smart enough to realize that a large patch with the entire word Canada would look pretty sweet. I’d spend many of my hard earned sheckles to get my hands on a Scheifele or Perfetti.
That’s pretty hideous, when did the NHL decide to go full CFL with sponsors?
How is the jersey sponsor going to help Canada life? The arena already says their name.
I was hopeful that it would be Bell in white/blue so at least it wouldn’t stand out. This sucks

Just came here to say I hate this. I hate this an irrationally large amount. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Slowly but surely, it’s getting to European hockey level of advertisement.
And the only team who gets it right in the entire league is the Edmonton Oilers as is tradition.
Sponsor patch creep has started. It’s a slippery slope. In 10 years, jerseys, helmets, gloves, shorts, everything will be littered with ads.
I know we’re all whores in the grand scheme of things but fuck this is embarrassing.
