Talk about a game of inches. 3 inches to the left and the Caps would of had an empty net goal and 3-1 lead. Instead it's the best of 3 now. Sports is so cruel.
Great defence from both teams and goaltending has been solid. Huge save at the end by bob and the missed empty net shot really came to bite the caps in the end. Panthers showed desperation and played the better overall game. Could see this series go to 7!

Caps fans are the most passionate yet least informed fans in hockey. They don't understand the sport at all, they don't know other teams or players from around the league but they love the Caps.
Regular season means nothing come playoff time where grit and heart, toughness and durability weigh heavily into the winning equation. Look at teams like the Leafs, Edmonton and Calgary. Regular season teams that wilt in the playoffs. TB, Pens and Blues are good exames of teams built well for the playoffs. 3rd line guys always score the big goals in the playoffs.

It was bad luck to miss the Empty net. If he scored, the Caps would have led the series 3-1, but he missed it, so it was tied at 2:2
